Okay, Outsiders. It’s official. Honey James, the daughter of Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson, has taken her very first steps.
If you are as big of a fan of Duck Dynasty as we are, then you know all about Sadie Robertson. The 24-year-old daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson officially became a mother of her own back in May. Since then, we have enjoyed every second of watching Sadie grow as a mom and watching her daughter Honey grow up as well.
With that said, Sadie’s latest update on social media may be one of her very best yet. The Duck Dynasty daughter posted a video of her little girl up and walking! Now, Honey does get a little help from her grandma Korie. But they are still her first steps nonetheless.
Sadie captured the entire moment on video and even posted it to her Instagram story.
“ALSO THIS HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!!!! WHAT?!?!!!??” she captioned the video. “7 months old and just took her first little steps.”
“Oh, my god! She just took her first steps!” Korie shouts in the clip.
That’s right, folks! Little Honey James is officially on the move.
‘Duck Dynasty’ Honey James Was Born Under Scary Conditions
Honey James Huff is seven months old now and as happy and healthy as ever. It’s been amazing to see her grow up as the newest member of the Duck Dynasty family.
However, when Sadie and her husband, Christian Huff, first welcomed their daughter into the world, she described it as a “very, very terrifying” arrival. According to the new mom, Honey’s shoulder was stuck for more than two minutes. It was trapped by her umbilical cord and was preventing her from getting the oxygen she needed.
“And it was just so very, very scary and I felt like I couldn’t really do anything,” Sadie told E! News.
Thankfully, Honey was eventually freed. And just when the doctors thought they would have to rush the baby to the NICU for oxygen, little Honey surprised them — she was breathing and crying on her own.
After a scary experience like that, you can bet that Sadie and Christian are enjoying every moment they have with their baby girl. Lucky for all of us, they are nice enough to share a lot of their lives on social media. So, we Duck Dynasty fans get to see little Honey James grow up in front of our eyes.
“I’m like, ‘Stay this little forever!’ I just love it,” Sadie admitted. “Honestly, she just started holding her bottle by herself and I was so proud. It’s just the little milestones and the day-to-day things that make me so proud and just so happy to be her mom.”
