The world of “Dukes of Hazzard” was full of colorful characters. You had Boss Hogg, Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, Cooter Davenport, Deputy Enos Strate, and, of course, Uncle Jesse Duke, just to name a few.

But the center of that world were cousins Bo Duke, Luke Duke, and Daisy Duke. Bringing these beloved characters to life were actors John Schneider, Tom Wopat, and Catherine Bach.

It has been more than 35 years since the original run of the popular sitcom came to an end. But, according to what Schneider said during a recent interview with Fox News, he, Wopat, and Bach stayed in touch over the years. However, it has been difficult for them to get together recently because of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“How would you describe your relationship with Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach today?” the now 61-year-old Schneider was asked. First, he shared an update on his relationship with Wopat.

“Tom and I talk quite a bit. Tom and I have music in common so we talk about that all the time. We always catch up and see what we’re up to,” this “Dukes of Hazzard” star also said.

Both actors went on to have successful singing careers after the popular series came to an end in 1985. The music Schneider and Wopat, who is 70, have “in common” includes a Christmas album. Titled, “Home for Christmas,” the album was released in 2014.

John Schneider Said He and His ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ Co-Star Tom Wopat are ‘Joined at the Hip Forever’

The actors who brought the Duke Boys to life have other things in common as well, according to John Schneider. And the friendship they developed while working on “Dukes of Hazzard” is going strong.

“As for Tom, he’s doing great. He’s been one of my best friends since the moment we met and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. We’re both theater brats. He came from the community theater. So did I. We have a common love of theater, the roar of the crowd and all that. We’re joined at the hip forever,” Schneider also said.

Regarding Catherine Bach, who is 67, John Schneider said he has not seen her as much as their other co-star. He did say that he wishes her well.

“Sadly, I haven’t seen Catherine in maybe two years. This whole COVID thing has separated people, certainly with quarantine. But we used to run into each other quite a bit at events. That stopped of course (with the pandemic). But it looks like they may be coming back now,” this “Dukes of Hazzard” star also said. “I’m not sure how Catherine is doing, but I hope to catch up with her soon.”

Bach and Wopat weren’t the only ‘Dukes of Hazzard” co-stars Schneider discussed during the interview. He also praised actor Denver Pyle.

“All my best memories from “Dukes of Hazzard” seem to revolve around Denver Pyle who played Uncle Jesse. He was a wonderful mentor to me,” John Schneider also said.
