Dwayne Johnson shares an inspiring quote with his Instagram followers this morning. Season 2 of his sitcom “Young Rock” is coming soon to NBC.

Dwayne Johnson is always on the move. Whether it is promoting his new Netflix film “Red Notice” or working out in the gym, “The Rock” is always focused on his career. Today, he takes a quick break from his busy schedule to share his favorite quote.

The black and white image’s caption is a very famous quote by philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. It reads “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” Johnson is looking intently at someone who remains anonymous to his Instagram followers. Is this a costar on “Young Rock?” Or, is this a picture of Johnson behind the scenes? Fans are unsure but enjoy the caption and picture he chooses to post.

NBC’s ‘Young Rock’

The quote comes before Johnson’s announcement that “Young Rock” is returning for its second season. An autobiographical sitcom, the show follows Johnson as he runs for President of the United States. Set in the year 2032, the show looks back at the actor/wrestler’s childhood, teenage years, and getting into the entertainment business. It receives a 90% Rotten Tomatoes score and shows multiple sides of “The Rock.” Viewers see the man behind the on-screen charisma.

A holiday episode of “Young Rock” drops on December 15, 2021, with the second season premiere airing in March of 2022. In an interview with The New York Times, Johnson discusses the writing process of the show. It begins with a bottle of tequila and the actor telling stories to the show’s writers.

“It required a lot of hours of sitting down with Nahnatchka, just talking and sharing stories and then walking away, going back home, writing things down, meeting back again, going over more stories,” Johnson says. “Once we chopped up a lot of years, Nahnatchka and her team went back and they sifted through everything.”

The series shows the highs and lows of Johnson’s coming-of-age. Its balanced perspective is important to “The Rock,” as well as to his mom. She agrees that the harder times should not be sugar-coated.

“My mom was my “Young Rock” consigliere throughout. She felt we could showcase the tough [expletive] and the hard [expletive] because we got through it. That’s the lesson. Hopefully, people who are going through some hard [expletive], too, can see that there’s a way out. You can get on the other side of it.”

“The Rock” remains grounded (pun intended) and his life story remains fascinating to fans everywhere. The Outsider family is excited to see what stories are told in this new season of “Young Rock.”
