FBI just drew in the biggest audience in the Tuesday night slot with the fall finale still set to air. The hit procedural series is doing pretty well in that Tuesday slot on CBS previously held by ratings giant NCIS. Here’s how it stacked up against the competition.

According to TV Line, ABC’s Live in Front of A Studio Audience dominated the demo rating with a very solid .9. FBI, however, suffered a different problem. The 6.8 million views was the biggest count of the night, but it only drew in a .6 demo rating, which is a drop from last week.

The other two FBI franchise shows, FBI: Most Wanted, and FBI: International performed alright. FBI: International drew in 5.3 million with a concerning .5 in the demo. Most Wanted drew in 5.6 million and a .5 in the demo. They remained steady in that demo rating.

Over on NBC, The Voice almost beat out FBI for viewership and did beat FBI in the demo. With 6.7 million viewers and a 0.7 demo rating, the show remained steady and has done so week to week.

Some ‘FBI’ Fans Are Wondering if a Character is Leaving

Some FBI fans are wondering if the team is going to have to say goodbye to one of their own. The show is quickly gearing up towards its December 14th season finale called Unfinished Business. And the CBS description has fans really worried about Rina.

“After Rina is critically wounded while heading to work with Jubal, the team makes the chilling discovery that a vengeful Vargas (David Zayas) orchestrated the shooting from behind bars and continues to target the rest of their team and their loved ones,” the description reads.

Luckily, the description only says she is critically wounded, but that doesn’t necessarily mean those wounds won’t lead to major trouble. Fans are really hoping she pulls through and the team is able to put a stop to Vargas. Vargas has proven himself to be incredibly formidable and unfortunately, we know that FBI isn’t afraid to kill off its characters.

But just as a warning, mid-season finales are notorious for juicy cliffhangers. So things may not get wrapped up in a nice bow in time for Christmas. Hopefully, we’ll at least know more about Rina’s fate and if she’ll be able to continue working with the team after such a big injury.

Considering Vargas is targeting the team in their loved ones, it’s more than just Rina who’s at risk.

To watch the last episode of FBI for the year, you can tune in to CBS on December 14th at 9/8 central. The show will then return with the rest of the franchise in 2022.
