During 2020, so many people experienced losses they never could have imagined. One individual who sadly experienced such pain was “FBI: Most Wanted” star Kellan Lutz. He played Kenny Crosby in the popular CBS drama.
The tragic loss the 36-year-old actor experienced is something no parent ever wants to experience – the untimely death of his unborn daughter. According to PEOPLE, Lutz and his wife, Brittany Gonzales, lost their baby during February 2020. Brittany was six months pregnant with the child at the time.
In addition to losing their child, Lutz and his wife were also faced with a serious threat to her health. “One minute I was creating a birth plan, the next I’m lucky to be alive and on birth control (because) if I got pregnant again I could die. Um, what? How was this my life? I had so much invested in the ‘next chapter’ of our lives and it was literally HERE. Until it wasn’t. I was confused. We were broken,” Gonzales shared.
In a recent social media post, the “FBI: Most Wanted” actor shared his thoughts and feelings about the death of his daughter and the concerns for his wife’s health in 2020. If these challenges weren’t enough, Kellan Lutz and Brittany Gonzales also experienced other personal losses. And they did so far away from the people they love.
“2020 was a lot for everyone to say the least. For me it started with losing my first daughter, then nearly my wife, and both grandfathers among other things, all in the middle of a global pandemic on the opposite side of the country from my family, friends, and entire support system,” “FBI: Most Wanted” star Kellan Lutz shared on Instagram.
Fortunately, for the “FBI: Most Wanted” actor and his wife, they became pregnant again. And, during early 2021, they welcomed a baby girl. They named their bundle of joy Ashtyn Lilly.
‘FBI: Most Wanted’ Star Kellan Lutz Said Last Year Emphasized ‘How Important Family Is’
Like so many others did during 2020, Kellan Lutz said he learned a valuable lesson about what is important in life.
“If 2020 taught me anything it’s how important family truly is. After a lot of prayer and reflection I made the difficult decision to move my growing family back to (California) so our daughter could grow up with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, just a short drive away,” the actor also shared.
Lutz also praised and thanked his “FBI: Most Wanted” family and the people at CBS for their support during such challenging times. He said these people “have been beyond supportive, understanding, and heard me out as I worked through feelings and emotions in regards to this decision.”
Along with his message, Kellan Lutz shared photos of him in character going through a medical trauma. “Wow. What a night! And yes, you saw that correctly, Crosby won’t be chasing down any bad guys for a little while,” he posted about his character’s fate.
