“Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines just celebrated the 18th anniversary of their famous business, Magnolia. And in recognition of that important anniversary, they decided to help others achieve their business goals. In order to help others along their journeys, the television stars gave out massive donations in a very touching gesture.
Joanna Gaines shared details about these businesses and why she and her husband decided to support them on social media on Friday, Oct. 22.
“Last week as I reflected on the day we opened Magnolia 18 years ago, I realized it might never have happened if Chip hadn’t nudged me to take a chance on a dream I’d been carrying around in my heart for years. That push forward changed everything—and I knew I wanted to do the same for someone else,” “Fixer Upper” star Joanna Gaines shared on Instagram.
What Joanna decided to do what have people submit their business ideas and dreams to her. The prize for doing so was a whopping $50,000 for their business. After reviewing the submissions, the “Fixer Upper” star said she “couldn’t just choose one.”
Joanna Gaines also shared well-wishes with the two businesses. “Thank you for the impact you are making on others with your bold, extraordinary dreams! Chip and I and the entire Magnolia team here in Waco are cheering you on!” she said.
‘Fixer Upper’ Star Chris Gaines Joins His Wife in Supporting and Showcasing a Worthy Small Business
Not to be outdone by his famous wife, “Fixer Upper” star Chip Gaines also showcased another business he and his wife are supporting on social media.
“This week when I heard about all the dreams that were submitted to Jo, there was no way I was going to sit here quietly and let her have all the fun!” Chip posted to Instagram on Friday. So I jumped in…”
“Several years ago they took a chance with their entire life’s savings to buy a fishing boat with the hope of opening their own fresh market and eatery. They’ve finally found a great place to set up shop in their town’s old post office building built in 1910 …” Chip also shared.
Offering Kamp Fisheries their support is something the “Fixer Upper” stars are very happy to do. “We’re honored to give them the money to complete the work they’ve started and help with their renovation so they can get the market up and running. We are pulling for you Rylie and Brian, go get ‘em!” Chip also shared.
