The cast of Full House has released a moving joint statement in the wake of the heartbreaking news that former costar and longtime friend Bob Saget has passed away. It is a touching message honoring the former Full House star. And one line within the statement truly encapsulates all that the late comedian and actor meant to the Full House cast: “We love you dearly.”

Grieving As A Family

The news spread of the tragic loss early in the day Sunday, January 9. Since then, many of the star’s friends, family, and fans have made statements honoring Saget.

“Thirty-five years ago, we came together as a TV family, but we became a real family,” notes the recently released tribute from the Full House cast. “And now we grieve as a family.”

The Instagram message was shared by multiple people that worked closely with Bob Saget on the popular sitcom series including Dave Coulier. Others sharing the touching message are series creator Jeff Franklin; and Bob Saget’s costars John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, and Scott Weigner.

“Bob made us laugh until we cried,” the Full House crew says in the Monday statement.

“Now our tears flow in sadness,” reads the statement. “But also with gratitude for all the beautiful memories of our sweet, kind, hilarious, cherished Bob.”

‘Full House’ Crew Lost More Than A Costar

The moving tribute to the late actor and comedian went on to note that Saget played an important role in all of their lives during their years working together – and beyond.

“He was a brother to us guys, a father to us girls and a friend to all of us,” the group statement says.

“Bob, we love you dearly,” the Full House crew adds, noting that it’s important to let the people you care about know exactly how you feel.

“We ask in Bob’s honor, hug the people you love,” the statement continues. “No one gave better hugs than Bob.”

Jeff Franklin and most of the Full House cast reposted this touching message on their social media accounts shortly after the statement was released. However, one of Bob Saget’s costars, Lori Loughlin has been staying away from social media in recent years. But, this doesn’t stop the Full House actress from finding a way to share the message with her fans.

Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli shared the message on her Instagram story earlier today, adding her own sweet message to the post.

“I am so heartbroken for my mom and the rest of this cast,” People reports Giannulli shared to her Insta story. “A true family.”

Bob Saget Brought Laughter ‘To the World’

“I’m sending so much love to Bob’s wife and girls,” she says. “This is seriously just too devastating.”

Bob Saget passed away on Sunday, January 9 at the age of sixty-five. Saget’s family addressed the heartbreaking news shortly after the star’s death was announced.

“We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today,” notes the family’s statement.

“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the statement continues. “Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”
