On Friday morning, Gold Rush released a new sneak peek of tonight’s upcoming episode where the show declared that it’s “judgment day.”

The gold mining show on Discovery recently returned for its 12th season on Friday, September 24. It’s the No. 1-rated show on the network with episodes airing on both Discovery and their streaming network Discovery+.

As Gold Rush gears up for another new episode tonight, the show shared a trailer with a snippet of what fans can expect. While the crew is at work, they see huge trucks pulling in that aren’t part of their operation. They realize Dutch-born mining boss Tony Beets is back in town vying for territory.

Beets and fan-favorite gold miner Parker Schnabel get into a discussion about boundary lines. The King of the Klondike has moved back to the Indian River after two years away. As Beets arrives, his first order of business is to re-establish boundaries in the area. The behind-the-scenes clip shows Schnabel and Beets going over the parameters of the boundary lines.

At one point, Beets lets Schnabel know his lines are messed up. There seems to be a dispute between the Gold Rush stars over whose side of the boundary a particular creek falls on. The two men go their separate ways and decide to pick the conversation back up at a later time.

You won’t want to miss tonight’s episode that starts at 8 p.m. EST. It’ll be followed by the spinoff series The Dirt: The Hoffman Story on the same channel.

‘Gold Rush’ Star Parker Schnabel Hits Major Snag as ‘Money Maker’ Shut Down

Fans of Gold Rush know Parker Schnabel well from his years on the hit Discovery show. Last week, he and his crew hit a major snag when their biggest moneymaker abruptly shut down.

Schnabel is well-known for his work on shows Gold Rush, Gold Rush: The Dirt, and Gold Rush: Parker’s Trail. Yet the young man’s history dates back many more years than his appearances on Discovery. Schnabel grew up in Haines, Alaska and has the pedigree of a true gold miner. Since he was a child, Schnabel tagged along and watched his grandfather John Schnabel run his family gold mine, Big Nugget. Therefore he’s known the ins and outs of the business for years.

As Season 12 gets going, the show has already highlighted some of the gold miner’s troubles. In last week’s episode, Schnabel’s crew dealt with a huge blow to their operation.

The official Gold Rush Twitter account posted another video showing scenes from the upcoming week’s episode. The trailer shows Parker Schnabel’s equipment burst, which forced the crew to shut down their biggest moneymaker. It’s not the first problem his crew has had, and it won’t be the last.
