‘Home Town’: Ben Napier Shares Gorgeous Photo as He Talks Being a Woodworker

by Chase Thomas

Woodworking is tough work, as many of you Outsiders may know. Home Town star Ben Napier is a man of many talents, one of which is being a talented woodworker as he shared a gorgeous photo of the latest project on his personal Instagram.

Napier captioned the post, “Burning scrap wood on our family farm on a cold damp day is one of the best things about being a woodworker.”

Mighty pretty, we’d say. Is Napier wrong in his assessment about burning some wood on a cold, damp day on the farm?

One fan wrote, “also pine cones, love the smell when they are in the fire!”

Another wrote, “And a Jeep in the background. Looks like the makings of a great day!”

‘Home Town’ Ben Napier’s Other Talents

Napier may enjoy a nice fire and be out in the woods in his Jeep, but the Home Town star has his sights set on some other career opportunities as well. You just may not be able to guess what they are, we wonder. What if we were to tell you that Napier was wanting to become the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Santa in the future. Would you believe us?

Well, he dos. The Home Town star revealed the news in an interview with HGTV. He went as far to say that it was a “life goal” to be Santa in this particular parade. However, there are some obvious issues with that happening anytime soon. For one, Napier’s beard is not the least bit grey as of late. However, he does not want to go full white in the beard to play the role. He wants a “salt and pepper” look for it.

The couple revealed all sorts of nuggets about their holiday wish list. They included their favorite tradition this time of year, which happens to be Pancake Day. This day is special to the couple because it is one of those rare opportunities for the couple to see and congregate will sorts of folks in the town they may not see as often as they like.

When is the Home Town star thinking of playing the role of Santa in the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade? “Obviously not now. I play a young Santa when I play Santa.”

He continued, “My beard hasn’t gone white. I got a few grays in there, a few whites. But yeah, that’s the goal.” It’s a retirement plan for Napier and his wife seems to be on board with the idea. Still, Napier has got all the time in the world before making the jump to play Santa in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
