Season two of Ben Napier’s Home Town spinoff is officially live.
PEOPLE’s sexiest woodworker alive returned today (December 19th) for another round of Home Town: Ben’s Workshop. And his wife, Erin, is celebrating on Instagram.
“#BensWorkshop season 2 is finally here on @discoveryplus!” she captioned next to a picture of her talented husband and his premiere guest. “First up, @sullivangrams spent a week in Laurel this July, and you can see the supersize furniture they built (v fitting for two giants). Merry Christmas to you woodwork (and This is Us) lovers!”
The series is one of a handful of Home Town spinoffs that have come to reality TV over the past few years. In Ben’s Workshop, Ben shares his crafty expertise with celebrity guests. In the past, the reality star has helped sports legends, actors, singers, and even astronauts learn how to be DIY superstars.
This week, he’s teaching his good friend and This is Us actor Chris Sullivan how to be a master in the woodshop. Catch the episode right now on the Discovery + streaming app.
The Secret to ‘Home Town’ is Simple
HGTV giants Ben and Erin Napier have turned their love for home renovation into an entire franchise that includes a few TV series, which play on two major networks.
Not many couples have been as successful as them, though many have tried. So what sets Ben and Erin apart from the crowd? A rock-solid marriage and unwavering teamwork.
And as Erin told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview, her partnership is almost second nature.
“We just don’t know any other way. I mean, this is something we were talking about the other night, but we grew up together,” she shared. “I was 19 when we met, and now I’m 36. I’ve spent most of my life with Ben. It’s getting to the point where it’s about to be I’ve been with you longer than I haven’t.”
The Napiers have been married for 13 years and together for 17. During their union, they created Home Town, which just debuted its sixth season. They also run a handful of spinoffs. And the couple has two young daughters at home, Helen, 3, and Mae, seven months.
All that stress and responsibility could easily wear on a marriage, but it never bothers the Napiers.
“We kind of formed our identities around each other in a way that I think is really healthy and good,” Erin added. “There are things I’m not great at that Ben is, and there are things that he needs help with.”
