Home Town star Ben Napier is winning at the whole dad thing.

When Erin and Ben Napier aren’t filming their reality TV hits Home Town and Home Town: Ben’s Workshop, they’re spending time with their family. The couple, who has been married for 13 years, has two daughters, Mae and Helen.

Last night, the four Napiers were relaxing in their Laurel, Mississippi, living room and Erin heard a swoon-worthy conversation between Ben and their oldest daughter. In it, Ben proved that he’s more than just a master craftsman, he’s also a master father. And what better job is there?

In an Instagram post, Erin recounted the sweet moment.

Apparently, Ben and three-year-old Helen were watching TV together, and the little girl was snuggling with her dad. Ben took the opportunity to let Helen know how safe and loved she is, which made Erin realize just how lucky she is to have a husband like him.

“Tonight he told her ‘A man’s job is to keep girls safe, to cherish and protect them.'” she wrote alongside a snapshot of Ben and Helen. “Dangit if we didn’t hit the jackpot in this house.”

‘Home Town’ From Erin and Ben Napier Is Getting a New Spin-off from HGTV

Good news, Home Town fans. A third Napier series is coming to HGTV.

As most home renovation junkies know, Erin and Ben Napier currently host two popular series, HGTV’s Home Town and Discovery’s Home Town: Ben’s Workshop. And next year, their remodeling universe will grow.

The Napiers are expanding their renovation franchise with the help of HGTV and People Magazine. In 2022, a new series, Home Town Kickstart will premiere to fill the void of the recently canceled Home Town Takeover.

The talented duo canceled their Takeover series after their second daughter, Mae, was born this year. Filming three shows while caring for a toddler and newborn proved too tedious. And understandably, they needed to step back to focus on their family.

However, fans can’t get enough of the Napier’s work, so they were disappointed to see the show end. And the couple heard the cries. So they hatched a plan to bring a new series to HGTV that would leave them free to stay home with their kids.

In Home Town Kickstart, six lucky small towns will win a Napier makeover. However, the stars will send HGTV’s “biggest stars” out to do the work in their place. And the towns will be selected from the pool of submissions sent in for Home Town Takeover.

“Erin and I have renovated more than 80 homes in Laurel for Home Town. And we’ve seen how these improvements change a community for the better,” said Ben Napier. “Now, with help from HGTV, we’re going to continue what we started and help more small towns across the country.”
