It’s the most wonderful time of the year for so many folks around this country, and that includes the star of Home Town Erin Napier. Napier revealed a hilarious behind-the-scenes story of a magazine photo on her personal Instagram this week.
For the caption of the photo of Erin and Ben, her husband and costar of Home Town, she wrote, “We were sitting in a row boat on my parents’ lake trying frantically not to drift away from the dock where @larsenandtalbert were taking this photo, but we look so relaxed, so that is the magic of a good photographer. Find a copy wherever magazines are sold if you’re wondering how we’re managing 2 babies these days. 😅 (the boat moving might be a metaphor?!) Thank you so much, @people for believing in small town America enough to give a voice to the folks who love it.”
How hilarious is that? Pictures can be deceiving, to be sure. The happy couple looks calm and happy as can be in the photo, but so much was going on around them in the photoshoot. The couple was doing everything they could to not drift out into the lake and take the awesome photos for the magazine.
Fans loved the post. One fan wrote, “Ya’ll are one of my favorite HGTV couple and shows. Keep spreading the love . Thank you for making me smile. Merry Christmas.”
Another fan wrote, “Every time I drive through a small town in need of revitalization I think of you guys. Love what you do.”
‘Home Town’ Love Story
Erin and Ben told People magazine about their love story, “We just don’t know any other way. I mean, this is something we were talking about the other night, but we grew up together.” She continued, “I was 19 when we met and now I’m 36. I’ve spent most of my life with Ben. It’s getting to the point where it’s about to be I’ve been with you longer than I haven’t.”
How cute is that, Outsiders? She continued, “We became grown-ups together. Like, we started as grown-ups together.” Life and time move quickly.
Erin added, “We kind of formed our identities around each other in a way that I think is really healthy and good.” They grew together and she also said, “There are things I’m not great at that Ben is, and there are things that he needs help with.”
She concluded, “He was like a celebrity crush to m. He was the president of every club and very popular but not exclusive. I would see someone eating alone in the cafeteria, and there was Ben, pulling up a chair beside them.”
