‘Home Town’ Star Erin Napier Snaps Sweet Pic Meeting ‘Childhood Hero’

by Chase Thomas

Home Town star Erin Napier posted an awesome picture to her personal Instagram after meeting a “childhood hero” this week.

Who was that childhood hero that Napier was so excited to meet? Well, you may not believe it but it was legendary actor Drew Barrymore. Yes, that Drew Barrymore, Outsiders.

Napier captioned the photo, “Today I met my childhood hero in person and hugged her neck and thanked her for the inspiration for this short haircut of mine that made @scotsman.co notice me on our college campus and ask me out on this day, 17 years ago. So, thanks @drewbarrymore for our love story. WHAT A DAY. Watch @thedrewbarrymoreshow tomorrow!”

In the post, she revealed that Drew actually inspired her short haircut. There’s more, though, as her short haircut and love for Barrymore drew her husband’s attention and led to him asking her out. The rest, as they say, was history.

Fans loved the sweet pic of the Napiers and Drew.

One fan wrote in the comments, “No way!! How did you keep your cool around her?!? “

Another wrote, “So cool! And we are gonna need the deets on that dress.”

More About The ‘Home Town’ Stars

Erin told Southern Living, “We love to take people coffee and snacks. We have amazing coffee in our store that’s roasted in Washington, I believe. I don’t drink coffee, but Ben loves it.” Whoa. It’s hard to imagine staying this busy without any caffeine to help. But other folks love it. This is a practical gift for your neighbors as they point out because it is so simple and so likely to work for your neighbors. It’s important to not only get folks stuff to show that you care, but it’s just as important to give them things that they are most likely to use.

She added, “Food and pantry items are great to bring people because it’s not a burdensome gift.”

Erin and Ben have already done so much for Laurel their hometown, but there is a reason for that. They love it and want to see it thrive. They are invested in their community and see their work as a way to help everyone in their community.

Erin said, “It’s a happy place.” It’s a labor of love what they do on Home Town and for their TV show. They returned to their hometown to make a difference and to lift everyone else in the town up along with them. She added, “They feel invested in Laurel and the story here. And I think they see something universal that maybe applies to where they’re from, too.”

You can watch Ben and Erin Napier on their hit show Home Town on HGTV.
