When Mayim Bialik isn’t leading Jeopardy! champs to victory, she’s hosting a podcast dedicated to mental health called Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown. Since January this year, Bialik has encouraged listeners to dig deeper into stigmas and attitudes surrounding mental health.
Alongside her boyfriend and co-host, Jonathan Cohen, the neuroscientist hopes to create a more understanding environment regarding the conditions that affect our perspective of the world. Now, 10 months into their podcast, the duo shared some exciting news with Jeopardy! and Breakdown fans alike.
On TikTok, Bialik and Cohen alerted fans that the podcast had just reached 30,000 subscribers. Despite their vast knowledge of the field and panel of celebrity guests, the two believed that their growing fanbase was because of Bialik’s famous cholent, a savory, Jewish stew cooked for Shabbat. Which reminds her, how long has it been on the stove?
“You know what I think did it?” the Jeopardy! host asked Cohen.
“Cholent,” the podcast co-host said confidently.
“Cholent, that’s right,” Bialik agreed. “Oh, I got to check on my cholent! I’m totally serious!”
Before Bialik lept from her seat to check on her stew, the duo encouraged fans to “stick around” for “a lot of fun surprises” to come.
Of course, fans were thrilled for the Jeopardy! host for all her latest success. Immediately, they crowded the comments section of the TikTok video with celebratory messages.
“Congratulations! I adore you. Love the content,” one listener wrote.
Another dedicated fan said, “Congratulations!!! I’ve listened to every episode and enjoy them so much!”
“Love it!!! Keep it going,” a third wrote.
‘Jeopardy!’ Host Welcomes ‘The Voice’ Judge onto Her Mental Health Podcast
Recently, the Jeopardy! host invited another big-name celebrity onto her podcast to talk about divorce, growing up in a small town, and more. The Voice judge Kelly Clarkson joined Bialik and Cohen for an episode of Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown, sans makeup and fresh from a jog.
Bialik gushed over her conversation with Clarkson, expressing her appreciation for the eye-opening chat. She also complimented the star on her incredible sense of modesty.
“Also, she’s so humble, like inappropriately humble,” the Jeopardy! star told her co-host in the intro of the episode. “You’re gonna tell me that people sing like that all over Texas?”
Bialik also told The Voice judge just how much her songs have helped her during difficult times in her own life. The Jeopardy! and podcast host told her guest, “you gave me music to help me through divorce.”
Clarkson, herself, is dealing with the aftermath of her own divorce with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.
