Of course Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings is the next pop culture icon one thinks of when Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic come together for a brand-new edition of Triumph’s hit podcast, Let’s Make A Poop! Right?
SF Sketchfest is gearing up for a brand-new special edition of the Let’s Make A Poop podcast from America’s favorite “poop-discussing dog puppet comedian,” Triumph the Insult Comedy Dog.
And, among the celebrity panelists slated to take the stage at the event are none other than Ken Jennings and ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic.
“This looks like a pretty good event,” Tweets the Jeopardy! GOAT in a recent Twitter post. In the post, Ken Jennings shares the SF Sketchfest tweet.
The event is set to take place in the new year at San Francisco’s Sydney Goldstein theater on January 7.
“Is there nothing Triumph the Insult Comic Dog won’t poop on?!” asks SF Sketchfest in a December 7 Tweet.
“Join @TriumphICDHQ and celebrity panelists @KenJennings, @alyankovic and more for a special edition of his “Let’s Make A Poop!” live quiz show podcast,” the post continues. “Jan. 7 at Sydney Goldstein Theater.”
‘Jeopardy’s’ Ken Jennings Holds His Own Among the Comedy Crew
It may seem like an odd pairing at first.
But, really, if you think about it, the Jeopardy! champion can certainly hold his own in the company of ‘Weird’ Al Yankovic. He can likely even hold his own up against Triumph the Insult Comedy Dog. After all, Ken Jennings has been making a name for himself over the last few years with his hilarious Twitter posts.
Plus, this event is a quiz show. We all know how well Ken Jennings does when quiz shows are involved.
Now, Triumph’s version of a quiz show involves turning everything into a conversation about poop. But still, it’s a quiz show nonetheless!
Of course, the hardcore Weird Al Yankovic fans know that part of the parody singer’s hugely successful career is due to a hit involving the iconic answer/question game show Jeopardy!
In 1984, Weird Al Yankovic released one of his most famous albums ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic in 3-D.
This album featured a variety of parodies derived from some of the most popular songs at the time.
Hits on this album include a parody of Michael Jackson’s Beat It, which is titled Eat It; and Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger, which Yankovic turned into a tune titled Rye or the Kaiser.
Among the hits on ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic in 3-D is a spoof of the song Jeopardy which is performed by The Greg Kihn Band. Yankovic’s hit took the popular song and turned it into the popular parody I Lost on Jeopardy!
