Jeopardy! host Mayim Bialik took a moment out of her day to wish some very special friends a happy National Cat Day.
The television star is all smiles in a Friday afternoon Twitter post where she celebrates her three cats, Addie, Nermal, and Frances.
“#NationalCatDay wouldn’t be complete without Kat’s cats!” the Jeopardy! host exclaims in the October 29 Twitter post. “Say hello to @missmayim’s feline friends: Addie, Nermal, and Frances!”
Of course, being surrounded by cats isn’t something new for the actress these days.
In fact, the Jeopardy! host spends quite a bit of time with feline friends when not standing behind the iconic Jeopardy! podium.
‘Jeopardy!’ Host Also Works With A Whole Lot Of Cats
In addition to stepping in as full-time host on the long-running game show, Bialik plays the lead in a successful sitcom. Call Me Kat premiered on Fox earlier this year.
In the series, thirty-nine-year-old Kat is single and doesn’t think that will change anytime soon. Because of this, Kat decides to spend the money her parents had set aside for her wedding to open her own cafe called Kat’s Cafe. However, this particular cafe is a unique concept cafe, where cats are always welcome.
The series quickly found an audience. And recently, Fox has announced Call Me Kat will be returning to the airwaves for a second season. These episodes are slated to begin premiering early next year.
While this is certainly exciting news for Bialik’s series, the actress may be facing some challenges moving forward.
When the series began, Bialik was set to host Jeopardy! during specific specials. However, since then, Bialik has stepped up, taking the helm of the iconic game show after controversy led to Mike Richards stepping down from the post.
But, from the looks of things, Bialik is going to make it all work.
Will Bialik Become A Regular Host?
It certainly seems the actress and game show host will have her hands full as Call Me Kat gets ready for its second season on the air. However, this doesn’t seem to faze Bialik. In fact, she has gone on record to state that she is happy to step in as the permanent host of Jeopardy!
“There’s no other job I would rather have,” Mayim Bialik says of her Jeopardy! role.
“I love my sitcom work, I do,” she continues. “I love all the other things I do, I love the podcast. But I absolutely have never had a better job.”
