Looks like Keanu Reeves can add “country music star lookalike” to his resume. Everyone’s favorite Hollywood star has had a lot of inventive Halloween costumes, but this one is by far the best.

Reeves dressed up as Dolly Parton for Halloween. Specifically, Dolly Parton on the cover of Playboy. The iconic magazine issue came out in 1978 when Keanu Reeves was only 14. His costume was incredibly accurate, black bunny ears and all. As it turns out, that’s because it was Dolly’s original outfit.

We found all of this out during a Q&A session with Reeves and his The Matrix co-stars. Reeves speaks about the whole experience pretty casually: “My mother was a costume designer, and she made some costumes for Dolly Parton. She once did the cover of Playboy, and somehow, I guess she didn’t take that home. And so we had it and it was Halloween. So I put on the ears and the bustier. I wore sneakers with fishnet stockings and the bowtie. I had some pretty long hair. And I was Dolly Parton’s Playboy bunny.”

I bet Dolly wished she would’ve kept the iconic outfit for herself. In July of this year, she recreated her Playboy Bunny look for her husband’s birthday. She always said she would pose again for Playboy when she got older. The physical magazine no longer exists, so Dolly missed her chance to follow through on what she said so many years ago. That didn’t stop her, though. Recreating that iconic look is the best present and surely brings back memories of their younger days together. How sweet!

Keanu Reeves Revisits ‘The Matrix’

Keanu Reeves might have had a lot to say about Halloween costumes at his Matrix Q&A, but we still don’t know much about The Matrix Resurrections, especially considering it’ll be released before the end of the year.

Keanu Reeves jumped at the chance to revisit his role as Neo, but this role reprisal was not without its questions. Since the character Reeves played is dead, he was curious how he would fit into this next installment of The Matrix.

The director gave him the rundown of the movie and how his character plays into it. Reeves says that the story is beautiful and that everything we could have questions about will be explained. Neo isn’t the only returning character we’ll see on the big screen. Carrie-Anne Moss will also be returning as Trinity. We’ll see some new faces in the Matrix this time around, including Priyanka Chopra and Neil Patrick Harris. Other characters will be returning to the film as well but will not be played by their original actors. For example, we’ll be looking at a new Morpheus on screen this December.

The trailer gives little nods to previous Matrix films, but there’s still much to uncover and learn. Everything we see in the trailer will make sense soon because The Matrix Resurrections officially releases next week, on December 22nd.
