‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’: Angela Wheatley Actor Was a ‘Little Bit’ Intimidated by This Costar

by Jonathan Howard

Tamara Taylor portrays Angela Wheatley on Law & Order: Organized Crime, and she has some thoughts on one of her costars.

Taylor’s character is in a special place on the show. She has had the opportunity to work closely with both Richard Wheatley actor Dylan McDermott and, of course, Chris Meloni, who portrays Elliot Stabler. She is the ex-wife of the fan-favorite villain. Not to mention her character has been debilitated following a nerve agent attack.

With the new episode coming up, the Law & Order: Organized Crime star has also gotten to work with another star on the show. Raul Esparza plays former ADA Rafael Barba. Barba is now a defense attorney. His new client? None other than Richard Wheatley.

Taylor says that she is actually intimidated by the attorney actor. She says he is her “favorite.” Pop Culture asked if she was intimidated on the cross-examination. It turns out she was.

“A little bit, I gotta tell you. You know we did the Zoom table read. Which you know on Organized Crime we haven’t done in a while because it just doesn’t feel like there’s enough time. But I think SVU does it like clockwork. They’re a well-oiled machine. So we got on, everybody is there. And Raul, jeez, had a lion’s share of the lines which he always does… I was just taking in how already there his performance is, on a table read… My gosh, he’s probably one of the best actors I’ve ever witnessed.”

That is high praise from one Law & Order: Organized Crime star to another. For Taylor, her character has had quite the journey to this point.

Tamara Taylor Talks Angela’s Recovery

One thing that fans will see in the new episode is that Angela Wheatley is in bad shape. She is arguably getting worse. She has trouble walking, making basic movements, and now has trouble speaking. The nerve agent attack has left her looking at a bleak future.

If Richard Wheatley can be convicted, it will give his ex-wife a little bit of justice. While she has tried to recover, there is only so much she can do. Earlier in the season, Seargent Bell visited Wheatley. Since that visit, it appears that she has only gotten worse physically and possibly mentally as well.

Bell is also worried about another character’s health.

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’: Bell Worried About Stabler’s Health

Another big figure in this trial is Elliot Stabler. The detective will have to figure his own emotions out during this whole trial. While his wife was a victim of Richard Wheatley, he has to remain cool. However, that is easier said than done.

Ayanna Bell, always one to be supportive and caring, is concerned about his health. This cannot be doing great things to him mentally. And, if Stabler can’t hold it together in his head, there could be consequences for what he does because of his mental health. Olivia Benson will also be in the mix to help. However, we just aren’t sure what to expect in the all-new crossover episode.
