There’s more evil coming Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) way over on “Law & Order: Organized Crime” this season.
He’s already had his hands quite full dealing with all the continuous repercussions of notorious crime boss Richard Wheatley and his family. Now, the popular spin-off series will welcome Robin Lord Taylor to the cast.
He will pop into “Law & Order: Organized Crime” as Sebastian McClane. He is a hacker that goes by the codename, Constantine. Just as several different high-security criminals are being released from prison, McClane will pop into the narrative.
Both Sergeant Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) and her task force have to try to find out who this man is and where he’s hiding to do this work. Detective Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger) will also assist with the case.
“He sets off a chain reaction of events that both Wheatley and Stabler swirl around. And he’s just a really cool character who I’m really looking forward to bringing to life,” Executive Producer Ilene Chaiken said to Give Me My Remote.
Past Roles for New ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Villain
So, where have you seen Robin Lord Taylor in the past? A recent appearance is in Netflix’s hit thriller series, “You.”
He plays the character Will in the second season of the show. It’s a bit of a similar character to what he will be in “Law & Order: Organized Crime,” too. He plays a hacker and someone with a lot of practice in changing someone’s identity and making them untraceable.
Joe ends up locking Will in his infamous glass box and tries to steal his identity, but gets mixed into a web of trouble due to Will’s lifestyle. The two developed a rapport or friendship of sorts as Joe looks to him for advice. He actually doesn’t kill him either (very surprisingly). He instead lets him out of the box to meet up with his online girlfriend in Manilla.
Taylor is best known by his DC role as Gotham’s Oswald Cobblebot, also known as The Penguin. Other movie roles include “John Wick: Chapter 3,” “Accepted,” “Another Earth,” and “Would You Rather.” As for TV, he’s had toles in “Kevin Can F**k Himself” and “The Walking Dead.” He’s also a friend of the “Law & Order” universe. He has appeared in three episodes of the main series as well as one episode of “Law & Order: SVU.”
Another Season Two Villain
Additionally, during the fall finale of the show, fans found out about a new villain in season two.
It happens to be someone right under Stabler’s nose, Angela Wheatley (played by Tamara Taylor). She is the ex-wife of notorious criminal Richard Wheatley. She also happens to be a math professor at Hudson University.
As for Stabler, this is all incredibly personal. The Wheatley family ordered the hit and run for his wife, Kathy, but it’s becoming unclear who that may have been. During this last episode, we realized Angela isn’t as innocent as she pretended to be. After detectives left her house, Angela instantly was able to walk and her cognitive issues went “poof.”
During the first season of the show, she was poisoned and had apparently developed a series of issues from that. As it turns out, she has some kind of connection to all the crimes.
