Leave it to “Law & Order: Organized Crime” star Chris Meloni to provide some humor on a Sunday afternoon, Outsiders.

Meloni, who plays Detective Elliot Stabler on the NBC police drama, offered up a response to a fan’s inquiry about how he was doing.

Here’s how he replied on Twitter.

Yes, Outsiders, we know that the woman there is not Sergeant Olivia Benson, played by Mariska Hargitay on “Law & Order: SVU.” So, who is it?

None other than Meloni’s wife, Sherman. She has been a production designer in her life. Meloni and his wife share two children, Sophia and Dante.

They have been married for 26 years.

As we know, Meloni played Stabler on “SVU” for 12 seasons. The actor left that show over a contract dispute and wasn’t looking to go back into the “Law & Order” franchise. But that’s exactly what Meloni did when creator Dick Wolf put together “Law & Order: Organized Crime.”

Meloni returned last season as Stabler.

It does not hurt that “SVU” and “Organized Crime” are shown back-to-back on Thursday nights. “SVU” airs at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central. “Organized Crime” then comes on at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Star Might Be Out Of An Undercover Gig Soon

Now, Outsiders, if you have been keeping up with “Law & Order: Organized Crime” this season, then you know Stabler has been underground.

He’s been a part of an Albanian mob and goes by the name of Eddie Wagner.

It appears that Eddie, or Stabler, or Meloni, blew his cover with the mob over their sex trafficking ring.

This just sends the Albanians into high gear, red alert status. They start wondering if Eddie is really a plant from the outside.

So we’ll have to see if he remains in the mob or goes sleeping with the fishes. Hey, you never know what a bunch of mad mob members will do.

Fans Interested To Know If, When Richard Wheatley Will Return This Season

Another thing: What about Wheatley? OK, so you might remember that Richard Wheatley, played by Dylan McDermott, was the thorn in Stabler’s side in Season 1.

He’s made an appearance in Season 2, but Wheatley and his wife, Angela, have pretty much been on the side.

Series creator Dick Wolf structured this second season in three main parts. Meloni has infiltrated the world of Albi Briscu, played by Vinnie Jones, and his Eastern European syndicate.

But what about Wheatley? Over on Reddit, a Redditor name FreshmenMan asked if other fans thought Richard or Angela Wheatley would return in Season 2.

Richard is going to come back in some way due to the contract McDermott signed between the first two seasons.
