Christopher Meloni knows how to get the best lines on Law & Order: Organized Crime. You hang out with the executive producer.
On Tuesday, Meloni, who plays Elliot Stabler, posted a very relaxed snap on Instagram. Obviously, the Albanian gang was no where in sight. Law & Order: Organized Crime executive producer Ilene Chaiken was standing next to Meloni.
He captioned the photo: “Hangin with the boss lady” and tagged the accounts of Caiken, NBC and Law & Order: Organized Crime. Meloni knows how to play the social media game.
Chaiken has written or produced so many of the top TV shows, from Handmaids Tale to Empire. She even was a coordinating producer on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air back in the early 1990s.
Caiken has produced a sizzling second season of Law & Order: Organized Crime. The first story arc ends this Thursday with an episode called Ashes to Ashes. After last Thursday’s episode, we know that Albi Briscu’s boxing gym is definitely an ash heap. The Kosta Organization also is imploding.
Here’s What Happened In Law & Order: Organized Crime Penultimate Episode
In the penultimate episode, Reggie, Albi’s nephew, testified against him to a New York Grand Jury. Reggie took a deal and will go into witness protection with his mother, Agnes, Albi’s sister. But he didn’t know that Agnes warned the family that the cops were coming.
The Grand Jury handed down indictments on all 19 members of the Kosta Organization, including the very evil leader, Jon Kosta. But the only person they arrested was Kosta’s future son-in-law. Meanwhile, a bomb blew up the boxing gym, where the mob maintained their office.
Vinnie Jones, who plays Albi, previewed the new episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime with the site Give Me My Remote. Watch your nerves. The episode sounds frantic.
“Get out of the way, Dominican Republic, get the passports, get some money, get Flutura, and get out of there,” Jones said, also mentioning his TV wife, Lolita Davidovitch. “I think the only problem he’s got is his boyfriend and his wife. How’s this gonna work out?”
He added that Jon Kosta will be the issue. And we’ve seen Kosta slice off the tongue of a mobster, just to make a point about loyalty. Imagine what he’ll do when he finds out that Stabler, who went undercover as Eddie Wagner, turned Reggie into an informant.
“The worry is Kosta, because Kosta is going, ‘How did this happen?’” Jones said. “And now he knows that Reggie brought him in. And why didn’t Albi see this? Why did Albi keep sticking up for him?”
Chaiken said that Kosta probably is the biggest threat to everyone’s safety. But he’s not the only one. Plus Stabler won’t rest until Kosta is behind bars.
“Kosta is the leader of the organization—Stabler and Bell have made it very clear that without Kosta, they haven’t done their job,” the Law & Order: Organized Crime EP said. “But it’s not like Kosta is the only dangerous one out there. It remains to be seen which of the dominoes falls first.”
