Wheatley. Is. Back. And Dylan McDermott can hardly contain his excitement. The Law & Order: Organized Crime star hasn’t been involved in the series since the end of Season 1. But now, he’s set to make his return in the highly anticipated December 9 crossover event between SVU and OC.

Elliot Stabler’s undercover days are through. The beard has been shaved, and Chris Meloni devotees aren’t exactly sure how to feel. But the iconic Law & Order: Organized Crime character now turns his attention to the trial of his life. Richard Wheatley stands accused of murdering Stabler’s wife, Kathy (Isabel Gillies).

Enter Dylan McDermott. In the frame he shared on Twitter, the dashing villain doesn’t look particularly concerned about his chances in the case. That’s bad news for Stabler and company, but you’d be surprised by how many people seem to be rooting for him.

The smile is simply too much for some to resist. Hopefully, however, the jury can see past it.

Perhaps the same charm that has all these fans so excited is the same that convinced Rafael Barba (Raúl Esparza) to take Wheatley on as a client.

People are clearing their schedules for this guy. Maybe the organized crime business isn’t such a bad racket after all. Of course, you’ll have to be willing to have folks like Elliot Stabler as your enemy. Based on what we saw from his undercover work, that’s not something you want.

Maybe Angela Wheatley’s Perspective Will Change Your Mind About the ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Villain

How would you feel if your husband was responsible for your son’s death? Then tried to have you killed multiple times? These are the questions Angela Wheatley actor Tamara Taylor asked during an interview with TV Insider recently.

The return of Richard Wheatley means the return of his ex-wife Angela. But folks, these two are not on the best of terms.

“I don’t think she likes him very much. I’m willing to guess if she could take him out herself, she would because she’s a mama bear, and he’s also put our other two children at risk. He’s almost taken down the entire family and tried to kill me as well,” Taylor told the outlet this week. “Whatever unfolds this season, I hope the audience remembers that she knows what he did, and you don’t forget. I don’t think you forget those things.”
