‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Fans Question an ‘Abandoned’ Storyline

by Joe Rutland

Some fans who watch Law & Order: Organized Crime regularly are asking about a storyline that they believe has been “abandoned.”

What could this storyline be, Outsiders?

We’ll get to the bottom of this thanks to a Reddit thread.

This thread has quite a long title. Fans are wondering “anyone else notice the childhood photo the kid showed stabler? why did that whole storyline get abandoned so suddenly :(“.

Alright, so Law & Order: Organized Crime fan Korrocks writes, “I wonder if it will be revisited at some point. The kid randomly showing up at that exploding warehouse seemed unnecessary unless they were setting up some kind of story element for the future. If this is the last time he will factor into the story then they could have just had him leave on the bus as he planned.”

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Fan Thinks There’s More Coming From Story

Redditor Sodontellscotty writes, “I agree. There must be something else coming from this. Otherwise, it made no sense for him to even be at the gym.”

The fan writes that the boy knew Stabler was at the Organized Crime HQ so why would he be looking for him at the gym after all.

Law & Order: Organized Crime fan JLMMM writes, “I think it was just a short arc to cause drama about his cover being blown so close to the end, and it gave Elliot a moment to be a good father figure/help a young boy while UC when he was feeling down about Eli.”

The Redditor refers to Elliot, meaning Elliot Stabler, played by Chris Meloni.

Fan Believes Stabler Might Beat Himself Up Ove Not Being Able to Help Kid

Aggressive_Mood214 writes, “I’m thinking it has to come up again, otherwise there was no good reason for him to be at the gym in the end.”

This Redditor thinks that the storyline might be some parallel for Eli later on in the series. The fan ponders that Stabler might beat himself up over not being able to help this kid out. Now that just convinces him that he cannot help Eli, either (assuming the drug situation isn’t resolved). Then again, who would know? This fan hopes they don’t leave it like that and never visit the story again.

Then Kerivkennedy offers their two cents. “I wonder if because they touched on Eli taking Grandma’s medications that somehow this kid and Eli will be crossing paths in future drug-related storylines,” the Redditor writes.

Well, Law & Order: Organized Crime airs on Thursday nights at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central, on NBC. One thing to watch for is when does Richard Wheatley, played by Dylan McDermott, start causing Elliot trouble again.
