Vinnie Jones knows just how special Law & Order: Organized Crime is.

In a new interview, Jones spoke about joining the show in its second season and how it compares to other series.

“To be a part of that is to be a part of the bible,” he said. “That’s what this is. I know how big this is for me for my career.”

Although he has quite the resume and has done amazing projects, nothing compares to this Dick Wolf franchise.

“But this is the Mary and Jesus of it all right here. You want part of that, you want to get in and you want to get in this stable.”

Part of what makes the series so great is Eliot Stabler, played by Christopher Meloni. Jones says that his co-star is a natural in the craft.

“I was working with him yesterday and I thought I forgot to come out with my line,” he recalled. Why did he forget? “Because I was just listening to him.”

“I have a lot of admiration for him he’s been in the business a long long time,” he added. “For me, I’ll sit and watch and learn. I don’t think you can ever stop learning especially from somebody like Chris.”

Jones is portraying the character of the Albanian gangster named Albi Briscu. He described his character as an “old school guy from the old country.” His character spent time in London and came to New York City to set up his organization. Additionally, he is very passionate about his family. Meloni teased that he will go undercover in the gang. Will these two become foes?

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’s Other Addition

Law & Order: Organized Crime will also welcome another newcomer, Ron Cephas Jones. He will be portraying Congressman Leon Kilbride. The politician has a wide array of connections and always aims to “play his cards right.”

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jones spoke about his new role. He will be in at least seven episodes of the second season.

“I started to watch the first season of Law & Order: Organized Crime with Chris Meloni and I thought it was just amazing. And so to get the call to come back and be involved this season with a nice seven to eight-episode arc [was great]…So far I’ve got a couple of episodes in and it’s just been incredible,” he said.

Season 2 will feature returning series regulars Meloni, Danielle Moné Truitt, Tamara Taylor, and Ainsley Seiger. Fans couldn’t get enough of Dylan McDermott. He initially signed on only for the first season, but the fans demanded it. He is a recurring character this season and will be Stabler’s adversary once again.

McDermott will reportedly be featured in eight episodes. Deadline said that he had “one of the most lucrative guest-star deals on network television.”
