Christopher Meloni spoke about Stabler and Benson’s relationship on Season 2 of Law & Order Organized Crime. Fans will be delighted on what he has to say about the fictional couple.

In a new interview with Stage Right Secrets, he said to start with a crossover “seems natural” for him. He compared it to gin and tonic.

“I always like jumping onto the SVU squad and playing with Mariska and the new gang over there,” he said. “For me personally, Stabler gets to show a different side of himself. An old older past side is reflected in there because obviously, he has feelings for his ex-partner. I think it gives a new dynamic to that side of Stabler. And then he has to get back to work on the OC and there’s a different side of him there.”

Fans have been speculating if Stabler’s letter was a love note to his former partner. We won’t have to wait much longer until we discover what it contains.

Meloni also addressed how SVU differs from his new show.

“There’s a certain amount of familiarity,” he admitted. “Because SVU has been on for so long, there’s comfort there. And then I think there is a sense of being something being unresolved of how I left the SVU franchise.”

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 2 Newbies

After a long wait, Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 is coming! This also comes with new characters.

Ron Cephas Jones spoke about his upcoming role in a recent episode of Entertainment Tonight.

“I started to watch the first season of Organized Crime with Chris Meloni and I thought it was just amazing. And so to get the call to come back and be involved this season with a nice seven to eight-episode arc [was great]…So far I’ve got a couple of episodes in and it’s just been incredible.”

Jones will play the role of Congressman Leon Kilbride. He has been described as a person with a lot of connections who always wants to “play his cards right.”

The other addition to the series is Vinnie Jones. He plays Albanian gangster, Albi Briscu. Jones said that his character is from the old country and is relatively old school. Albi was in London before moving to New York City to set up his new organization. Meanwhile, Meloni said that he goes undercover in his organization. Will they discover his true identity?

In a recent interview, he spoke about how highly he views the show.

“To be a part of that is to be a part of the bible,” he said. “That’s what this is. I know how big this is for me for my career. But this is the Mary and Jesus of it all right here. You want part of that, you want to get in and you want to get in this stable.”
