‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’: Tamara Taylor Says There’s ‘Not Much Going Back’ in Angela’s Relationship with Richard

The latter half of Law & Order: Organized Crime’s second season promises some big events, especially as Tamara Taylor’s Angela Wheatley moves forward after some major ones.

So far, during the popular NBC drama’s second season, Angela Wheatley has taken part in her husband Richard Wheatley’s murder trial. She’s also been poisoned in a murder attempt at the hands of Richard, as well as dealing with the information that her daughter has been into some shady business.

Surely some big things will be happening for the Organized Crime character and her family.

But, Angela getting back together with her estranged husband will certainly not be one of them.

“If your husband’s killed your son, and then tries to kill you twice, there’s not much going back,” Tamara Taylor tells TV Insider of her Law & Order husband.

“I’d be willing to wage a guess that she’d like to see him dead if she could,” the Angela Wheatley actress adds.

“She’s too smart for that, but whatever she’s up to,” Taylor explains. “I don’t think she’s in love with Richard.”

During her recent interview with TV Insider, Tamara Taylor discusses the upcoming Law & Order: Organized Crime storylines.

Primarily, what will come of her character Angela Wheatley as her daughter faces some possible consequences for framing Elliott Stabler’s son for murder.

The Wheatley’s daughter, Dana, has found herself on the police radar as her actions against the Stabler family have come to light.

As this is happening, Taylor explains that Angela Wheatley may need to make a major change going forward. Especially as she is still reeling from the attempt Richard made on her life earlier this season.

Up until now, Angela Wheatley has been feigning memory loss. This is due to the poisoning that was ordered by her husband, Dylan McDermott’s Richard Wheatley.

Much of this act was simple preservation. Mrs. Wheatley needed Richard to believe she had no memory of the events leading up to her attempted murder.

This, Angela believed, would keep her off Richard’s radar going forward.

However, Angela’s tactic may be useless at this point as her mother’s love for her daughter kicks in; and she may need to help protect Dana (Christina Karis).

“They kind of have to ally because they must make sure that Dana runs for cover,” Tamara Taylor says of her family’s future on Law & Order: Organized Crime.

“So they have to kind of co-parent” the actress explains.

Taylor notes the unusual hilarity that comes from her character acting as a “co-parent” with the mobster who tried to murder her.

“How hilarious amidst all this they’re still co co-parenting,” she says.

Taylor adds that this development, of course, means Angela will have to come clean regarding her memory after the poisoning.

“It just makes more sense for her to reveal to Richard where she’s really at,” the actress notes.
