‘Law & Order: SVU’ Alum Peter Gallagher Is Starring in Hallmark Christmas Movie Alongside ‘Chicago Fire’ Star

“Law & Order: SVU” alum Peter Gallagher will turn his talents to a brand new Hallmark Christmas movie this year. In addition to starring Bruce Campbell and Eloise Mumford, the holiday film will also feature “Chicago Fire” star Brett Dalton.

We last saw Gallagher on “Law & Order: SVU” in 2019, when he played Deputy Chief William Dodds. Gallagher spent 19 episodes playing Dodds, and since then, he’s also starred in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Grace and Frankie,” and “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.”

Now, Gallagher will use his musical talents to team up with horror icon Bruce Campbell for Hallmark’s “One December Night.” The two will play a famous rock duo who split up a decade ago, according to PopCulture. They produced a Christmas hit called “One December Night,” and they have a chance to reunite for a television special focused on their music.

Gallagher plays Mike Sullivan, while Campbell stars as Steve Bedford in the film. Joining them are Eloise Mumford as Mike’s daughter Quinn, and Brett Dalton as Steve’s son Jason. Quinn and Jason spend a lot of time getting their fathers to cooperate with one another for this TV special. Along the way, some romantic feelings start to grow between the two.

You can catch this brand new Hallmark film this Saturday, Nov. 13, at 10 p.m. EST on the Hallmark Channel. Earlier this week, Variety shared a special clip from “One December Night” where the “Law & Order: SVU” alum is conspicuously absent. Gallagher, as Mike, is supposed to meet Steve and the kids at Steve’s house for a photoshoot. But Quinn says he likely won’t show up.

“You know, when Mike decides to grace us with his presence, then I’ll be there too. In the meantime, I have some pictures to take,” Steve says. You can catch the clip here.

‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Peter Gallagher Makes His Hallmark Debut in New Trailer

Hallmark also shared a trailer for “One December Night” earlier this week. We see “Law & Order: SVU” alum Peter Gallagher hesitant to bring the rock duo back all these years later.

“Those songs brought me nothing but trouble,” Gallagher’s character, Mike, says at one point in the trailer.

Soon after that, “Chicago Fire” star Brett Dalton sits down with Bruce Campbell for a father-son heart-to-heart.

“Just tell him how much he means to you,” Dalton’s character, Jason, tells Campbell’s character Steve. “Before you guys were famous you were family. Nothing’s more important than that.” It wouldn’t be a Hallmark Christmas movie without a sweet connection to family, love, and hope for the future.

Make sure you check out the star-studded cast of this musical Hallmark film this coming Saturday, Nov. 13, at 10 p.m. EST on the Hallmark Channel.
