Alright, Outsiders, take this as a reminder to get started on your Christmas Cards if you haven’t already. It’ll be too late before you know it. In the meantime, let’s all admire the Benson family’s holiday greetings. Mariska Hargitay took to Instagram, sharing a post of her and on-screen son Ryan Buggle.

That’s right, Law & Order: SVU fans. Olivia and Noah Porter Benson themselves are wishing you a very happy holiday season.

Of course, fans took the opportunity to offer their own holiday greetings in the comments. They also want Olivia Benson to know that someone is missing from this picture. Who? Oh, take a wild guess.

“NOAH BENSON STABLER!!!!” one eager fan replied to the post. The desire for Mariska Hargitay’s Benson and Chris Meloni’s Stabler to end up together hasn’t subsided whatsoever, apparently.

“we love noah benson stabler,” another echoed.

“soon to be ‘the stablers'” another fan wrote. You get the gist. Nearly every single reply to Hargitay’s post is a plea for her Law & Order: SVU character to settle down with her former partner Elliot Stabler.

Is it Finally Happening? Are Fan-Favorite ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Duo Benson and Stabler Finally Getting Together?

Law & Order: Organized Crime recently dropped a promo video for the highly anticipated December crossover event with Law & Order: SVU. And it’s safe to say the only thing anyone can think about is a very brief moment at the end of the video showing Benson and Stabler holding hands.

What does it mean exactly? We can’t be sure. But Hargitay’s character saying, “Whatever happens, we’re going to take it one step at a time,” during the touching moment has fans losing their minds.

Now buckle up, Outsiders. Because the Law & Order: SVU showrunner Warren Leight shared a tweet at the beginning of November describing a dinner he shared with nearly every major player involved with the show.

What happened next? Well, Organized Crime showrunner Ilene Chaiken referenced the dinner during an interview with TV Line. It looks like she was gauging the fan reaction to Leight’s tweet. At the very least, that means the shows understand the hunger for Bensler becoming a thing.

“And I love hearing from the fans, and I’m not going to pretend that I didn’t have a little look to see how they responded to Warren,” Chaiken said.
