Imagine hearing Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay breaking out her version of I Walk the Line from Johnny Cash on an episode.
After checking out this photo, though, it just might be a possibility.
Hargitay, who plays Sergeant Olivia Benson on the NBC police drama, dropped this pic on her Instagram account on Friday night.
She definitely has that “Man in Black” vibe going here. Take a look at the Law & Order: SVU star here.
Fans that follow Hargitay on Instagram were definitely impressed with her look.
Fan miasantiagohair writes, “What a beauty”.
Then destinylol offers, “WHAT A QUEEN”. Another fan, smshelb, replies, “#HargiLeather it is Christmas indeed”.
Fan taylormoraless offers a definite, solid response for the Law & Order: SVU star’s look.
“IN YOUR DAYLIGHT ERA!!! BC OLIVIA BENSON IS FINALLY GETTING HER HAPPY ENDING!!!!”
We think that’s good enough for Hargitay. Catch her and Ice-T get down to business on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central, on NBC.
‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Hargitay Missed Some Shows For A Bit. Here’s Why
People look to see Hargitay on Law & Order: SVU for episodes year after year.
She’s been pretty reliable on the NBC series for a long, long time.
But there was a stretch of episodes where Hargitay wasn’t on the show. Why did this happen?
OK, so back in Season 8, there was an episode called Informed. In it, Benson and Stabler, played by Chris Meloni, investigate a woman’s assault who isn’t telling the whole truth. Well, it turns out that she is working as part of an FBI sting operation against an eco-terrorist group.
Benson goes undercover to help finish what she started. OK, so why was Benson and, likewise, Hargitay, written off the show for a brief period of time?
Franchise Show Has Brought Dick Wolf A Lot of Success For Him
She was having her first child. In June 2006, Hargitay and her husband, actor Peter Hermann, welcomed their baby into the world.
Also, some different looks for Hargitay took place on the show. Production people made sure that Hargitay’s baby bump was covered up.
It was done through object blocking while also doing shots that hid her stomach.
Law & Order: SVU continues to be one of Dick Wolf’s most successful shows. This actually has been the longest-running show of the original Law & Order franchise.
Yet the OG show is coming back to NBC soon. Will there be crossovers or even special guests on each show? We really don’t know yet. But Wolf has a solid record of making sure his shows have a lot of attention for viewers.
