‘Law & Order: SVU’ Once Featured One ‘Nashville’ Star

by Madison Miller

After being on since 1999, you’d think that “Law & Order: SVU” would have run out of exciting guest stars at some point.

Instead, the show has been able to have a fairly consistent cast, especially our leading lady Mariska Hargitay, and a whole slew of guest stars to keep things fresh. One of these guest stars happened to be Hayden Panettiere.

Hayden Panettiere on ‘Law & Order: SVU’

She is an incredibly recognizable face on TV. You may recognize her for roles in popular series like “Nashville” or “Heroes” as well as in the popular movie, “Bring It On: All or Nothing.” She appeared twice on “Law & Order: SVU” during her career as a child actor.

Her very first role acting was in a Playskool commercial when she was 11 months old. Talk about starting young. According to Insider, Panettiere’s first appearance on the show was in season two. She played Ashley Austin Black in the episode titled “Abuse.” She was a young victim during her appearance.

Then, in season six she appeared once again. This time, she played Angela Angelli in an episode called “Hooked.” This time around, her character was quite different than the innocent victim. Rather, she was a girl in school who had made herself seem very innocent. It was later revealed that she was actually connected to the murder of a doctor.

Clearly, the “Law & Order: SVU” guest star had quite the range as an actor early on in life.

As for Hayden Panettiere, she has gone through her own struggles in real life separate from her life as an actor. The “Nashville” star opened up about the act that she was in an abusive relationship for years with her ex-boyfriend. She opened up about the terrifying journey she had as a victim and how important it is to seek help.

She went to treatment for alcohol abuse and hopes opening up like this can inspire others to change their life around.

Other Amazing Guest Stars on Show

While we loved seeing the evolution of Hayden Panettiere on “Law & Order: SVU,” there are plenty of other guest stars that have wowed us with their performances on the award-winning series.

Lynda Carter is a true wonder in this world. Literally, she went on to become “Wonder Woman” in the future. She played a role on the show during season seven, episode two. She appeared in an episode called “Design.”

She played a character named Lorraine Dillon. Although Wonder Woman is the hero of all heroes, her character was far from noble and heroic. Instead, her character worked with her daughter in order to sedate and sexually assault wealthy men. The goal was to get pregnant and get rich from the situation.

Another popular guest star was Bob Saget. He played Danny Tanner on “Full House” and sadly passed away this week. He appeared in the episode called “Choreographed” from season eight. He played a husband that is obsessed with knowing where his wife is and goes as far as planting a tracking chip inside her. He discovers she’s having an affair and murders her.
