If there’s one thing our favorite Law & Order detectives have shown us over the years, it’s that they will never rest when there is a job to be done! And, as one Law & Order: SVU showrunner notes, even the Christmas Holiday won’t slow these hardworking detectives down!

On Monday afternoon, Law & Order: SVU showrunner Warren Leight shared an adorable Twitter post announcing that the SVU detectives are always tireless…and not even the Christmas season will keep them from finding justice for those who need it most.

“How do our detectives spend Christmas?” Warren Leight asks in the January 3 Twitter post.

“On the street,” the showrunner adds. “Trying to save their city.”

The photo that the Law & Order: SVU showrunner chose to pair with the tweet celebrating the Law & Order: SVU squad for their dedication to their crime-solving responsibilities features one SVU star and a much-anticipated guest star in the Christmas episode.

The Twitter photo features longtime Law & Order: SVU star Kelli Giddish as she stands next to the episode’s guest star, Jason Biggs.

In the photo, the two detectives are talking to a man, most likely getting information on their newest case.

Clearly, it’s Christmas time in the pic…the decor is certainly festive as is the Santa Claus hat the witness is wearing as he speaks to the detectives.

The episode from which this still was taken is the popular show’s newest edition set to air this week on Thursday, January 6.

Titled Silent Night, Hateful Night, the Law & Order: SVU installment promises some holiday magic as only SVU can deliver it. Even though we have moved past the Christmas season by now, as we’ve entered into the year 2022.

In a recently released sneak peek of the upcoming SVU episode, we learn that the Law & Order: SVU squad is spending Christmas on the beat as they catch an intriguing Christmas Eve case.

Jason Biggs may be causing the commotion as one of the Silent Night, Hateful Night guest stars.

However, there is another major player that will be guesting in this upcoming holiday episode.

Making a return to the series is Declan Murphy (Donal Logue). Declan comes to the squad as he leads a task force investigating a recent hate-crime spree.

Longtime Law & Order: SVU fans know that Declan has a pretty major connection with an SVU favorite.

Declan fathered the first child of Kelli Giddish’s detective Amanda Rollins.

Clearly, Rollins plays a big part in this episode, as she is featured in Leight’s Twitter post.

So, what will come of this reunion? Will the two detectives keep things professional? Or will their deeply personal connection be a part of their reunion?
