Oh, brother, some fans will look for something to worry about. Law & Order: SVU fans, engage! Will the show go on if Mariska Hargitay leaves?

That is actually a concern of fans on Reddit. This thread starts out with the words SVU’s end.

Fan Repulsive_Part_6031 kicks us off, writing, “Do you think that there will be any life for SVU when Mariska Hargitay will make the decision to leave? And do you think that the show might finish soon? Do you feel like SVU has given us all it could or are there more and more stories to be told? And how do you figure out SVU’s final day?”

Ooh, there’s a lot to unpack in this, Outsiders.

Let’s see what other Law & Order: SVU fans have to say in this thread.

‘Law & Order: SVU’ Fan Thinks Hargitay Will Be Done In ‘Another Year’

Redditor CourageMountain writes, “I think (and hope) SVU is done when Mariska is done, and I think that’ll happen in another year. I’m hoping it ends with Benson’s retirement – something happy with no big bang, major fast forwards, or more trauma.”

This writer also suggests bringing in some survivors from previous episodes. Also, leave a door open for an occasional Benson appearance on Law & Order: SVU or other L&O shows.

Lead poster Repulsive_Part_6031 replies, “I also think and hope that we’ll see more Benson in OC or other spin-offs.”

Then, we have Redditor Dontsteponsnails with these comments.

“With how it is now, it’ll definitely end or die when Mariska leaves,” this person writes. “However, if they’d like to continue it they could if they would finally do something fresh and new. The introduction of a new squad and cast of characters can follow a whole new storyline which could be cool.”

Finally, this Redditor is hopeful that Law & Order: SVU gets new writers should Hargitay leave.

Hargitay Talks Hairstyles, Best And Worst, Of Benson’s Time On TV

Hargitay had definitely been through her hair days while on Law & Order: SVU.

But what are some of her best and worst? She talks about it with TV Insider.

So, she starts out by saying that “Olivia is trying to find the hairstyle that fits her life.

“I stand behind all my hairdos, except maybe three,” Hargitay says laughing. “After one shoot, the hairdresser, who was French, wanted to trim my hair. So he’s drinking wine and cutting, and when I looked up from my magazine, I just went, ‘This is not good.’

“(Law & Order: SVU creator) Dick (Wolf) told me he was going to fire me,” she said. “I cried so hard, like, ‘You’re blaming me?’ It went on for two weeks; then he said, ‘There’s no crying in television,’ and we moved past it.”
