Ever wondered how delicious vegan chicken pot pie biscuits could look? Well, former Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert just shared her take on the mouthwatering dish with her Instagram followers. And the pot-pie looks amazing! So amazing, in fact, you can practically smell them off the Insta page!
Melissa Gilbert is on a weight-loss journey, it seems, and she’s sharing with her fans the strides and the delicious recipes she is making along the way.
“A vegan ‘chicken’ pot pie with herbed biscuit crust,” the former Little House on the Prairie star captioned on the delicious photo she shared to Instagram on Friday.
“Changed the lifestyle and dropped 10 lbs,” Melissa Gilberts said.
The actress notes that she is almost at her goal weight. All while being able to enjoy delicious meals such as this one.
“10 more to go,” Gilbert says of the pounds she has shed with her lifestyle change. “Between #plantbased food and @noom , I’ve never felt better! #vegan #healthy #strongfood #noom #healthyweightloss,” the actress adds in her post.
Of course, the longtime actress has always looked phenomenal. And few would ever say the svelte actress needs to shed even an ounce.
However, the health kick does make a lot of sense as the actress welcomed her very first grandchild into the world earlier this year. With the new addition to her family, it makes perfect sense that Melissa Gilbert would want to focus on optimum health – and energy – to keep up with the little darling as she continues to grow!
‘Little House On the Prairie’ Star Loves Her ‘Nana’s Girl!’
Earlier this year, Melissa Gilbert took on her most important role yet. The role of “Nana” when granddaughter Ripley Lou Brinkman was welcomed into the family.
The daughter of Melissa Gilbert’s son, Dakota, and his wife, Ripley Lou was born on June 8, 2021.
The proud “Nana” loves showing off her brand new grandbaby any moment she can. And, she loves to cuddle her just as often.
Melissa Gilbert show’s off her spot-on cuddling skills in a June 30 Instagram post as she held the newborn Ripley in her arms.
“Nana’s girl,” the actress captioned the early summer Instagram photo. “#granddaughter #ripleylou #nana #nanpint #heaven”
And, clearly from the looks of things, “Nana” cuddles are something little Ripley Lou quickly got used to. The little one looks comfortable as she’s fast asleep in the adorable pic.
Melissa Gilbert first found fame as a child actress when she starred as Laura Ingalls Wilder alongside the late Michael Landon in the popular Little House On the Prairie television series.
The series, which is based on the memoirs of the real Laura Ingalls Wilder ran for nine years from 1974 until 1983.
