Country singing duo Maddie & Tae have paused all of their upcoming concert dates after doctors ordered pregnant Taylor Kerr to stay home on bedrest.

The band announced the news on social media today (December 27th). And they emphasized that the decision was made for Kerr’s unborn baby girl.

“As excited as we are to get out on the road and see everyone, we are holding off on our return a bit longer,” the singers wrote on Instagram.

According to the post, both Taylor and the baby are doing well. But for unrevealed reasons, Taylor’s OB has suggested that she stay on temporary bedrest. The singers did not specify when Tae could return to the stage.

“Out of precaution, we are postponing our upcoming tour dates including the CMT Next Women of Country Tour: All Song No Static Tour,” they added.

Maddie & Tae assured their fans that the postponed events will be rescheduled soon.

“We appreciate your understanding. And we’ll be back on tour with new music as soon as we can.”

Taylor Kerr first announced that she’s expecting last month. She also shared that the baby girl is due in the spring. The child will be the first for Taylor and her husband, songwriter Josh Kerr.

Maddie and Tae Had ‘So Much Fun Catching Up’ with Carrie Underwood

Maddie and Tae reunited with Carrie Underwood during Cracker Barrel’s holiday special, Cracker Barrel Sounds of the Season.

The duo, who released their first-ever Christmas albumWe Need Christmas, in October, worked with Underwood and Runaway June for the streaming special.

Over the course of six episodes, the songstress’s gave special performances, played holiday games, and discussed their holiday plans and traditions.

“Being a part of this special collaboration with Cracker Barrel and my friends, Maddie & Tae and Runaway June, is a fun way to celebrate the holiday season,” Carrie Underwood shared in a preview. “… Music lifts spirits and is a big part of our holiday traditions, which are as important as ever this year.”

And the special wasn’t the first time the bands met. In 2019, all three acts toured together for Underwood’s Cry Pretty Tour 360.

So getting everyone back together was a treat for the ladies. And they were excited to spend so much time together.

“We just had so much fun catching up because we’re all really close since we toured together last year,” Maddie Font said in a recent interview. “but it was just a really cool way to kind of kick off the holidays.”
