‘Monarch’ Star Trace Adkins Releases ‘A Country Boy Can Survive’ From Show

Getting his fans excited for Monarch, Trace Adkins released a song that will appear on the show.

Adkins will play Albie Roman in the drama. He is the husband of Dottie Roman, played by Susan Sarandon.

But Adkins also is tossing in some music, too.

This makes good sense, too. The country music star can take his successful songs and find a new home for them on Monarch.

The drama does take place in the world of country music.

So, the show released Adkins’ version of a Hank Williams Jr. classic, A Country Boy Can Survive.

Bruce Dern Sees That Adkins ‘Has A Presence’ When Involved In Acting

Hey, Outsiders, if you don’t think Adkins can act, then read what legendary actor Bruce Dern had to say about him.

Dern, along with actress Charlize Theron, told Cowboys and Indians that Adkins is in rare company. Theron won an Oscar for the 2003 film Monster and shared screen time with Dern.

“Well, Trace Adkins has that,” Dern said. “He may have no self-confidence in himself, but Jesus Christ, he has a presence. And he was very good in [2019’s Badland film]. I didn’t have any scenes with him, but when I was shown the movie, and I saw it, I said, ‘Who the bleep is that guy?'”

But Dern stopped himself and remembered the country music star finishing second on former president Donald Trump’s NBC game show, The Celebrity Apprentice

See, Adkins started working in TV and movies in the early 2000s. Dern has been a part of the movie industry for 60 years. Yet they both did work well together and, obviously, Adkins made a sound impression on Dern. Get ready to watch Monarch on Fox.
