NCIS fans are going to have to wait until the new year to catch a new episode of their favorite show. When it returns, Alden Parker will be going undercover.
Unless Parker has quit his job to be a sanitation worker, it looks like he will be undercover and looking to get information on someone. Matt Carter pointed out the pic of the upcoming episode. While it won’t hit the screen until January 3, fans are going to be eager to see the new installment. There really isn’t a lot of info, but we do have a brief synopsis.
“NCIS is called in when Navy Chief warrant Officer Rafi Nazar (Artur Zai Benson) is suspected of trying to sell stolen classified Navy software used to pilot combat drones.”
That sounds intense. It sounds like treason, to be honest. Whatever reason Parker has for going undercover, surely it is related to this. The show has taken on cases like this in the past. So, it will be interesting to see the twists that make this one interesting. We won’t be seeing a new change of hair or anything, so it isn’t likely to be a long-term thing.
I think he is looking to get some information while flying under the radar. Nothing too specific, but enough to get inside somewhere or close to somebody. NCIS fans are still warming up to Alden Parker and perhaps an interesting role like this will change some nonbelievers.
Alden Parker Is Not Gibbs, and That’s Alright
One thing that has happened ever since Parker took over for Gibbs, is a group of fans always comparing the two. Even going as far as comparing Gary Cole and Mark Harmon. While Gibbs will always be integral to the show, the history, and everything else, Parker could make his own party.
For instance, Parker isn’t going to have a very close relationship with Ducky on the show. The former medical examiner turned historian just isn’t on the show as much. Also, it would be a bit insulting to fans to just turn Parker into Gibbs 2.0. Instead, the new Special Agent in charge of the team is going to make his own connections and bonds and have his own story.
Nick Torres Gives Knight, and NCIS Fans Advice
Heading into the holiday break, Wilmer Valderrama’s character Nick Torres gave his friend and colleague Jessica Knight some advice. Knight revealed she has had a troubling past with her mom. The holidays can be a difficult time for many. Seeing family, or not seeing them has a big effect on people.
“Does she love you?” Torres asks. “Yeah,” Knight replies.
“Do you love her?” “Yeah,” Knight admitted once more.
“Then maybe it’s not as complicated as you think,” Torres says as he walks away.
NCIS, always giving fans a little something extra in these intimate moments on the show.
