The last new episode of NCIS premiered on November 8. Fans watched Docked and were introduced to Timothy McGee’s mother. In that episode, the team had to solve a murder that had happened aboard the cruise ship McGee’s mom was on.

Since then, fans have been without new episodes. However, that is going to change soon. While there will not be a new episode of NCIS tonight, November 22, there will be one next week. Right now, according to the schedule put out by CBS, there will be a rerun episode tonight. That episode is from Season 18 and is Episode 14, Unseen Improvements.

Originally aired back in May of this year, fans will get to see Gibbs on the screen once again. The team search for Phineas, a young boy that lived across the street from the former team leader. This is also one of the last episodes that featured Emily Wickersham in her role as NCIS Special Agent Eleanor Bishop. So, there will be a couple of former on-screen characters in the rerun episode tonight.

There are a set of fans that are just lost without Gibbs on the show. Gary Cole is doing his best in his role as Agent Alden Parker. However, it just doesn’t seem to be working out for some fans.

When the show does make its return, NCIS is going to have a very unlikely meeting between Jessica Knight and Kasie Hines. The episode is titled Peacekeeper and we already have seen some snapshots from that episode. The team is investigating, “a Navy reservist’s body is found in a beat-up car at the end of a gun range.” So, there will be lots of drama and surprises in store for when the show does return next week.

‘NCIS’ Forensic Scientist Heads to Gun Range

The mention of that gun range is interesting. Because it looks like the NCIS team’s forensic scientist is looking to purchase a weapon. While Kasie Hines is not usually in harm’s way, we have seen moments get dicey for her. So, she’s heading to the range with Jessica Knight and the two look like they are going to test some firearms out. Figure out which is best for Hines and give her the information she needs to make an educated decision.

Pictures from the upcoming episode show that Hines and Knight are hanging out at the range. There are four handguns in front of them and they have their eye and ear protection with them. So everything looks like it checks out.

If Hines ends up getting a gun, you know that the NCIS forensics expert is going to be a careful owner. The question is, will she have to use a weapon in the near future? Surely the writers wouldn’t give her this training and knowledge with her using it at some point. We’ll have to wait and see.
