Yes, NCIS fans still adore their sassy, smart Abby, who loved to rock the Goth look.

So although Pauley Perrette hasn’t been a part of NCIS since 2018, fans still care about Abby. So imagine how they reacted to Perrette changing hairstyles, going from black to, well, rainbow if rainbow still can be subtle.

The NCIS alum posted a photo of selfie with her newly-colored locks earlier this week. After all, a new ‘do is a perfect touch for celebrating the holidays.

Perrette, who posts under @PauleyP, didn’t even need to caption the tweet. Her fans just knew the significance. The goth look was gone and replaced with a more ethereal style, which definitely brought out the green in her eyes.

Of Course NCIS Fans Loved Perrette’s Hair. Somewhere, Abby Also Is Rocking Rainbows

Let’s see how NCIS fans reacted to Perrette’s new style:

“Looking amazing as always. I was Abby for Halloween this year.” (And she posted a photo of her Halloween self). Then, a fan from across the pond replied: “Love the hair. Having an amazing Christmas. Love & hugs from me & Charlie in the uk.” (She posted a photo of Charlie, her dog, so that Perrette could see it. We told you NCIS fans love their Abby).

Another fan tweeted: “As ALWAYS……….BREATH-TAKING!!!!!!STAY SAFE…STAY YOU. LOVE YA GAL.”

How about this NCIS fan. She also brought up alum Michael Weatherly (DiNozzo). “I adore the fact you are doing this world a much better place just by your existence. Thank you this world needs more people like you and Michael Weatherly makes this world a so much better place just by y’all’s life existences. Love you both so much.”

Perrette played forensic scientist Abby Sciuto for 354 episodes. The only two actors credited in more episodes are Mark Harmon (Gibbs) and David McCallum (Ducky). Each have 423. Perrette left NCIS at the end of season 15. Abby survived an assassination attempt, so she decided to leave. Perrette’s reasons for leaving the show had more to do with Mark Harmon and an attack by his dog. The two didn’t get along. They didn’t even share a scene together in the Abby finale. Rather, Abby wrote Gibbs a goodbye letter, while sharing an emotional on-screen farewell with the other characters on the show.

In 2019, Perrette posted on Twitter: “NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?) I am terrified of Harmon and him attacking me. I have nightmares about it. (And) I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You’ll love it! #HappyPlace Love y’all!”

Like Perrette, Harmon no longer is on NCIS. He departed in October, after beginning season 19 with a four-episode arc tying up some loose ends. Gibbs probably still is in Alaska as the team continues solving crimes every Monday.

The show returns, Jan. 3, with a new episode. It’s called Pledge of Allegiance. From CBS, here’s the summary  – “NCIS is called in when Navy Chief Warrant Officer Rafi Nazar (Artur Zai Benson) is suspected of trying to sell stolen classified Navy software used to pilot combat drones.”
