When they heard about NCIS actor Brian Dietzen’s new career accomplishment, the CBS military drama show’s fans celebrated.
Dietzen, who plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer on NCIS, announced on Instagram that he’s been busy writing a script for the show.
Well, Dietzen offers a little more insight as you can check it out below this photo.
“In a word… grateful,” Dietzen writes. “You guys, I got to write a script of @ncis_cbs with my pal @mostxsw and it’s been a great adventure so far. We jump into filming this bad boy after the Thanksgiving weekend, and I couldn’t be more excited. It’s my first time writing for the show, and it’s been a great experience.”
Let’s see what the fans had to say after reading the NCIS star’s news.
‘NCIS’ Fans, Including A Fellow ‘NCIS’ Franchise Actor, Cheer For Dietzen’s News
“How wonderful!!!!” writes fan Daniela Ruah. Wait! Ruah? Yeah, she’s Kensi Blye on NCIS: Los Angeles.
Fan itsjmak writes, “Palmer has come a very long way. Soooo cool! Congrats @briankdietzen“.
Then floridianrachel posts, “Congratulations! Can’t wait to get to see the episode you wrote! I’m sure it’ll be great!
Finally, deshar15 offers these words: “❤️ Will be a great episode Brian ❤️❤️❤️”.
Dietzen has been on NCIS since the show’s first season. But he did not become a regular cast member until the 10th season. Palmer is now Chief Medical Examiner, filling a role once held by Donald “Ducky” Mallard, played by David McCallum.
Outsiders, we’ll be watching and waiting for the Dietzen-written episode to appear.
NCIS airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central, on CBS.
Military Show’s Actor Reveals What Would Be His Favorite Drink
When push comes to shove, Dietzen definitely has an opinion on his favorite drink.
So, what would the NCIS actor order?
Dietzen talked about it in a 2017 Q&A with Uproxx.
The outlet asked, “You walk into a bar. What do you order from the bartender?”
Well, Dietzen said jokingly, “A round on the house. Everyone is happy. I make new friends. I don’t go broke. Boom.”
So, he gave it a little more thought and spoke up. Dietzen said that he doesn’t drink a lot “but my wife has turned me on to a nice mescal once in a while. You know what? I change my answer: mescal, rocks, lime.”
That’s pretty sweet. What, though, is a mescal?
It’s a broad term used. Mezcal refers to any liquor made from agave. So, if you look at its use, then tequilas are mezcals. However, not all mescals are tequilas. Think of it like this: all brands of scotch are whiskeys but not all whiskeys are scotch.
