NCIS: Hawai’i is celebrating the strong women in its cast. The show is the first of the NCIS franchise to feature a woman in its leading role, and it has tons of strong female characters as well as women on the cast. The show just posted a photo of one of its characters, Kate, played by Tori Anderson.

“If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that we STAN the strong women of #NCISHawaii. Catch them in action during a new episode, Monday at 10/9c,” the Instagram account for the show wrote.

Fans are all for it.

“I was pleasantly surprised at how the writers painted the female characters of the show. And as much as I liked @vanessalachey, I had a hard time picturing her as the team leader when casting was announced, but I’m happy to say I was very wrong and I love her even more now!” one fan wrote.

Many have been pleasantly surprised by Lachey. Her background doesn’t have a lot of similar work involved. Some of her biggest credits actually go to hosting reality TV shows like Love is Blind. But her work as Jane Tennant has been a breath of fresh air for fans of the show, who were looking for something both familiar to NCIS and new.

In the comments of the post, people noted that they want more of Tori Anderson‘s Kate.

“Please tell me she’s in the next episode,” one fan wrote.

“We want more of her,” another fan said.

Kate’s becoming one of the favorites, but as fans have noted, we haven’t seen much of her yet. There’s just something about her that seems to be bringing fans a lot of joy. Hopefully, the writers room will take note and give her more to do in the future episodes.

People Are also A Huge fan of ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’s’ Rookie Agent, Lucy Tara

If the comments are anything to go by, Jane Tennant and Kate Whistler aren’t the only two characters getting praise from fans. Fans also love Lucy Tara. Played by Yasmine Al-Bustami, Lucy Tara brings a young and relatable voice to the show.

CBS recently released a preview featuring Tara for the next episode, The Tourist, and fans are excited to see more of her. If you want to watch new episodes of NCIS: Hawai’i when they come out, you can tune in to CBS at 10/9 central on Monday nights. The show airs after NCIS, which moved to Mondays partially as a way to help boost the ratings for NCIS: Hawai’i.

There wasn’t a new episode last week, but both NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i are back to their regular schedule.
