‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Is ‘Digging up the Past’ About Pearl Harbor in Preview of Next Episode

by Anna Dunn

NCIS: Hawai’i is doing an episode that focuses on the past of Pearl Harbor in a preview for the next episode, which will air on Monday.

The Twitter account for NCIS: Hawai’i just posted a video that shows Jane Tennant, played by Vanessa Lachey and Ernie, played by Jason Antoon, discussing old DNA. Apparently, the DNA of a victim from 80 years ago is linked to a Pearl Harbor survivor who is very much alive. So what gives?

So far, fans have enjoyed NCIS: Hawai’i for the most part. It hasn’t released any episodes that are mind-blowing, but there seems to be some good potential there. And Vanessa Lachey has surprised in her role as Jane Tennant. Tennant is a very serious role, and Lachey has been in mostly comedies or hosted reality shows in her past.

Lachey’s been an interesting TV personality for a while now, and recently, she opened up about difficulties she faced in her youth.

‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Star Vanessa Lachey Recently Opened up about

When Lachey was only 9 years old, her mom left her behind. She opened up about the experiences in her new book Life From Scratch, as well as interviews about the book.

“My mother leaving me was really tough, for obvious reasons. She left when I was around 9. And adolescence was hard. I had a stepmom who didn’t want children. But what I realized when I got older was that it strengthened me, and it made me who I am, in all the best ways,” she said.

Now, Lachey is a dedicated mother herself. She moved the whole family to Hawai’i to be on NCIS: Hawai’i and it looks like the kids are doing fine with the adjustment. She’s posted about her kids getting enrolled in school and seems to be having tons of fun with her husband, Nick Lachey, who’s also been in the entertainment business for quite some time.

Nick has also expressed his support of Vanessa’s new role on NCIS: Hawai’i and of her new book.

The series has a full season order under its belt and they’re hoping it’ll get a renewal. At this point, renewal is definitely possible for the freshman series, but we probably won’t find anything out about that until Spring.

If you want to catch Vanessa Lachey on NCIS: Hawai’i, you can tune in to CBS on Mondays at 10/9 central following new episodes of NCIS. You can also read her new book Life From Scratch, which is a wholesome combination of recipes, life stories, and life advice.
