Looking cool as ever in her blue button-down collared shirt, some awesome – and sleek – dark pants, paired with some killer high-heeled boots, Lachey’s NCIS: Hawai’i character Jane Tennant seems cool as ever, as she walks down the street; talking on her cell phone.
The newest NCIS officer looks like she is all-business, and she’s clearly ready to get things done!
Always One Step Ahead
“Jane Tennant knows your next move,” the Monday morning Twitter post read.
That’s right. Tonight is the night NCIS fans have long been waiting for.
Not only do we get some information on what is next for Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his team as the long-awaited premiere of NCIS comes to CBS tonight; but we also finally get to meet Vanessa Lachey’s newest character, Jane Tennant on NCIS: Hawai’i.
Tennant Heads The Pearl On ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’
In the newest addition to the NCIS universe, Lachey’s Jane Tennant oversees the NCIS’s Pearl in Hawaii. Lachey is the lead detective in the Hawaiian agency in this new series.
Tennant’s junior field agent, Lucy Tara is portrayed by actress Yasmine Al-Bustami.
The NCIS: Hawai’i team also includes cast members Jason Antoon who portrayed the NCIS: Hawaii cyber intelligence specialist, Ernie Malik. Tori Anderson portrays the Defense Intelligence Agency Special Agent Kate Whistler; and Alex Tarrant plays NCIS: Hawai’i special agent, Kai Holman.
In addition to the never-failing action and intense drama promised by each show within the NCIS franchise, this newest series addition promises some breathtaking scenery; as Tennant and her dedicated team work hard to keep law and order on the majestic Hawaiian islands.
Tennant’s A Bad A– Says Lachey
While Lachey has said she’s excited to introduce her character to NCIS fans, there’s another unique piece to the character that makes her important within the NCIS universe. Tennant is the first female lead “special-agent-in-charge” to be portrayed on an NCIS series.
“She’s a bad a–, with a warm heart,” the actress has said of her NCIS character.
Lachey added that her character, who oversees about forty agents in the NCIS: Hawai’i agency, is a fair leader; she “doesn’t bark orders and sit at her desk,” Lachey said.
And, the actress notes, Tennant is never afraid to head into the trenches with her officers.
“She gets her hands dirty,” the actress says of her character.
If a picture tells us anything, this recent NCIS: Hawai’i tweet does tell us that as Lachey portrays Tennant clearly invested in whatever case she and her officers will be facing in tonight’s premiere episode!
