Fans may have noticed a familiar face in the latest addition to CBS’s popular new series NCIS: Hawai’i.

Former The Rookie actor Titus Makin Jr. portrayed Jackson West during The Rookie’s first three seasons on the air. However, the actor has recently exited the series and the reason for this change is still not entirely clear.

In the November 1 NCIS: Hawai’i episode, the longtime actor had an exciting guest-starring role. In the episode, the team works hard to solve the kidnapping of someone close to Makin Jr.’s character.

What follows are some major spoilers from the latest installment of CBS’s NCIS: Hawai’i. So, if you missed the hit police procedural on Monday night, or if you haven’t had a chance to stream the ht series yet, you might want to proceed with caution!

‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Investigates An Abduction

In the brand-new CBS series, Titus Makin Jr. portrays Lt. Adam Parish the husband of a social media influencer in the new series’s November 1 episode titled The Tourist.

As the episode begins, we meet Titus Makin Jr.’s character Adam and his wife, Kayla Barlow. The couple is attending a Hawaiin Luau. Kayla, a popular social media influencer is live streaming the luau.

Of course, this is the beginning of an NCIS episode, so we know something is going to be amiss.

Soon, Kayla is abducted. Because her husband, Makin Jr.’s Adam, is a Navy Luitenant Jane Tennant’s NCIS Hawai’i team is called in to investigate the kidnapping.

At first, the NCIS: Hawai’i team theorizes that Adam’s wife was abducted because of the Navy Officer’s top-secret clearances as a submarine officer.

Using this information, Special Agent Jane Tennant and her team are able to track down the kidnapper’s getaway car. However, when the team arrives, the suspected abductor is found dead and Kayla is nowhere to be found.

Eventually, Tennant and her NCIS: Hawai’i team begin to dig deeper into Kayla’s social media presence. It turns out that the influencer travels to the world covering extreme sports such as hiking Mr. Everest and canyon-jumping.

There Is Much More To The Story

From there, the NCIS: Hawai’i team makes an interesting discovery.

Kayla’s supposed abductor the team found dead was present during most of the woman’s travels. The team also cracked a code within Kayla’s social media page comments which Kayla and the mysterious man used to communicate. The team also discovers that most of Kayla’s followers are fake.

As the investigation continues, the NCIS: Hawai’i team learns that Kayla’s social-media influencer persona was actually a cover, and Kayla was, in fact, a CIA operative. The mad who the team found dead was naturally her handler and he had “abducted” her to keep her safe as Russians who were pursuing her were hot on her trail.

Of course, this news is shocking for Titus Makin Jr.’s character Adam who had a hard time believing his wife was an operative for the CIA. However, with Adam’s help, the team is able to rescue Kaylea and capture the Russians.
