“NCIS: Hawai’i” is one of CBS’s new franchise-based shows. Vanessa Lachey is its star and, well, she can ride a horse, too.
Lachey, who plays Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant, shows off her horseback riding skills in this photo from the show’s Instagram account.
Check it out right here.
This show is just another piece of the “NCIS” franchise. It has been given a strong lead-in with the original “NCIS” show airing on Monday nights. With that one coming at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central, “NCIS: Hawai’i” airs at 10 p..m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.
‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Receives Solid Benefit Of Having OG ‘NCIS’ As Lead-In Show
Ironically, the other “NCIS” franchise show, “NCIS: Los Angeles,” airs on Sunday nights. It lines up the possibility of having “NCIS” crossovers should that be considered.
Besides Lachey, “NCIS: Hawai’i” also stars Alex Tarrant, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, and Tori Anderson, among others.
On Monday, the show’s stars received some pleasant news. CBS is picking up the show for an entire season and has ordered a full complement of episodes.
Nielsen has “NCIS: Hawai’i” averaging 9.3 million viewers and winning the Monday timeslot. The news also was released at the same time as “FBI: International” also received news that CBS wanted a full season of that show, too.
Lead Actress Thanks Fans, Co-Workers After Getting News About Full Season
When Lachey heard the news, she sent this out on Twitter.
She tweeted, “Mahalo to YOU. Feeling so grateful! Thank You for making us #1 three weeks in a row at 10 PM and for watching it again all week! I Love You guys and can’t wait to take you on the rest of the @NCISHawaiiCBS journey this season.”
In the tweet, Lachey is joined by other cast members in Tennant’s car while breaking from filming. They thanked the show’s fans for supporting “NCIS: Hawai’i” and their co-workers.
‘Better Call Saul’ Actor Carlin James Recently Appeared In Episode
The show recently welcomed guest star Carlin James of “Better Call Saul.”
He appeared in the drama’s third episode.
James also has appeared in shows like “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Dear White People,” and “NCIS: New Orleans.”
So, ahead of his appearance, James went on – where else? – Twitter and wrote, “Ayy so I’ll be showing up on ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ this coming Monday on CBS!”
Additionally, he said, “Very lucky to be a small part of their first season and meet/work with such an incredibly welcoming cast & crew.”
There has not been any word about whether or not James will appear in future episodes. Much like TV these days, just stay tuned.
