‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Reveals First Look at Series Premiere

The season premiere of “NCIS: Hawai’i” is less than one day away and we still can’t contain our excitement. With such a strong female lead and a premiere episode promising one big explosion, “NCIS: Hawai’i” already has franchise fans reeling. Now, with the latest spin-off set to premiere Monday night at 10 p.m., “NCIS: Hawai’i” has released the latest sneak peek into the new series.

According to the new series’ sneak peek, “NCIS: Hawai’i” star, Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant debuts on CBS with an overdose, “intentional or otherwise.” While previous peeks into the new series have portrayed Tennant as softer, protective, and even motherly, this particular sneak peek captures the side of her we often see reflected in Gibbs back on “NCIS.”

She asks one of her team members where the autopsy report is for their current case. To which, she replies, “I didn’t technically get it,” but apparently read it upside down. So, apparently, certain entities stand in the way of Special Agent Tennant’s ongoing investigation during the “NCIS: Hawai’i” premiere. Regardless, Tennant remains silent and moves forward, much like “NCIS” icon, Special Agent Gibbs.

We also learn about Tennant’s perceptions of others during interviews and conversations, prompting her initial reaction to particular suspects and people of interest. But what makes the preview so exciting is that we get a vision of the “NCIS: Hawai’i” team as a whole, from our field agents to our behind-the-scenes professionals.

‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Special Agent Jane Tennant is a Soccer Mom

The latest “NCIS: Hawai’i” sneak peek has given franchise fans a look into Special Agent Tennant while on the job. However, an earlier sneak peek captures the mom side, that is the soccer mom side, of our newest Special Agent In Charge. And, while soccer moms get stereotyped frequently, Tennant further defies those ideals.

The sneak peek features Tennant at her younger child’s soccer game, clipboard in hand, occupying the head coach position. All of a sudden, a police car shows up at the field, lights flashing and sirens blaring. Military personnel clear the field prior to a helicopter landing.

From there, Tennant hands her son, her oldest, the clipboard. To which he responds, “Mom, I don’t know anything about soccer.”

Typical mom response comes, as Tennant says, “They don’t care, just have fun. Go be with the team,” she tells her daughter.

Tennant then boards the helicopter in the most epic soccer game departure you would ever hope to see.

Through her position as both Special Agent Jane Tennant, Head Coach Jane Tennant, and Mom Jane Tennant, “NCIS: Hawai’i” sheds new light on the franchise’s most authoritative position. Further, the focus on Tennant and her family helps normalize working moms internationally. Tennant helps highlight womens’ adaptability, versatility, and professionalism on a daily basis.
