“NCIS” characters have attained the ranking of “badass” since the franchise’s flagship show premiere in 2003. However, with the inclusion of the latest spin-off, “NCIS: Hawai’i,” the CBS franchise introduces fans to a whole new kind of badass. In reference to her character, “NCIS: Hawai’i” lead, Vanessa Lachey, said Jane Tennant is a “badass with a warm heart.”
There remains no doubt that each character within the “NCIS” franchise faces their own self-redefined status of badassery. However, with Lachey’s feature on “NCIS: Hawai’i” as Special Agent Jane Tennant, the show features a host of iconic moves and decisions. Most prominently, one “badass” decision saw Lachey secure the role of the “NCIS” franchise’s first female special agent in charge.
Of her position on the show, Lachey stated real-world NCIS operations include the high impact of active female agents. She further elaborated it’s about time the hit franchise captures that.
“I think what [Tennant’s authority] is going to do is just normalize women in this position.” And as the first female lead to head up the new “NCIS: Hawai’i” spin-off, Lachey definitely faces a host of pressures.
Additionally, she’s been forced to learn to balance life as a leading actress as well as adapting to her new life in Oahu with her real-life family.
Overall, both Tennant and Lachey define what it truly means to be a badass.
‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Star Adjusts to Life on the Islands
“NCIS: Hawai’i” star Vanessa Lachey is no stranger to the screen and has relocated with her family before. However, her latest move has signified a major change in her life and that of her family.
Recently, Vanessa Lachey revealed her emotional reaction to earning the job as “NCIS: Hawai’i” team lead, Jane Tennant. Following the announcement, we’re sure she and her family had very little time to fully prepare. The news signified major changes among the star’s latest transition and new life adjustments. However, after her acceptance of the role, it appears the Lachey family is doing just fine.
Lachey previously revealed that when she got the part on “NCIS: Hawai’i,” her husband, Nick Lachey, was incredibly supportive. She asked him, “What do you think?” and following, he said, “Hawaii, umm, it could be worse.” We’re sure that unenthused response oozed with sarcasm. Lachey then shared that Nick said, “This is awesome!…This is your time and you’ve been there in the past for me.” Alas, we can only hope we all find partners as supportive as Nick Lachey.
Regardless, the “NCIS: Hawai’i” star’s Instagram reveals that the Lachey family hasn’t faired too badly in their new home. The mom of three previously shared a commemorative post highlighting her children’s first day of school in the tropical paradise they now call home.
As the children begin in their new school and Nick Lachey takes on the role of the domestic parent during Vanessa’s time as “NCIS: Hawai’i” Agent Jane Tennant, we anxiously await the premiere of the franchise’s latest spinoff.
