Vanessa Lachey started out the new year by putting her family first. The “NCIS: Hawai’i” star posted an adorable snapshot alongside her three kids and her husband, Nick Lachey.

She captioned the photo, “Here we go 2022! In whatever form you come in… we are ready!!! #LacheyPartyOf5 #FamilyFirst #HappyNewYear.”

The photo shows them all with some pretty entertaining face paint on with goofy faces for the camera. Nick Lachey, for example, is painted like a tiger.

Lachey’s fans were quick to wish her and her family a happy new year. One person wrote, “Thinking of one of my fav Cabo Couples. Happy + Hopeful New Year.”

Lachey also happened to share a really amazing video that shows all of her favorite memories from 2021. It looked like it was a pretty amazing year for Lachey, which includes getting to be the lead in “NCIS: Hawai’i.”

Several of the pictures show her on set of the show or even wearing her agent outfit all done up as Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant. Most of the photos, however, are showing her family having a blast together. “#2021, you were… well… ALL of the things. Lots of Love, laughs & tears. But mostly importantly, we got through it all together. From the fans to my family, we celebrated a LOT of firsts this year. Thank You for the Love. Let’s GO 2022!!!!” Lachey captioned the video.

Vanessa Lachey Shares Love for ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Director

It seems like going into the new year, Lachey is particularly grateful for producer and director Larry Teng. He first came on board “NCIS: Hawai’i” to executive producer and direct the pilot for the show. His other projects include “Person of Interest,” “Criminal Minds,” “Hawaii Five-O,” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

It was Teng that had all the confidence in Lachey when she wasn’t feeling it herself.

“For some reason, with this role, I was struggling with my confidence. Larry personally Zoomed me and said, ‘Vanessa, I think you’re perfect for this role.’ Just talking to him, made me believe in myself, and I’ll never forget it,” Lachey said, according to Variety. Larry Teng, in turn, went on to thank Lachey for all the support she has also given him during this entire exciting opportunity.

As for Vanessa Lachey, she will also be stepping into 2022 as Jane Tennant. “NCIS: Hawai’i” will return tomorrow, January 3, after taking a holiday hiatus.

The official “NCIS: Hawai’i” Twitter account shared a video sneak peek of Kate and Lucy having a conversation with one another. They are one of the fan-favorite pairings on the new show. The tweet dubbed them with the ship name “Kacy.”
