‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Teases Return of Kate and Lucy in New Clip

by Madison Miller

After a hiatus during the holiday season, “NCIS: Hawai’i” is returning to the screen once again.

It will return with the new 10th episode of the season starting on Monday, January 3. That means that fans can once again witness one of their favorite pairings back on the screen again. The couple in question is Lucy and Kate.

Lucy and Kate Returning on ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’

“NCIS: Hawai’i” immediately paired the two together in the very first episode of the series. They had their first kiss during that first episode. It was also stated that the two had a bit of history, but it didn’t work out in the past.

Since we last saw them, Lucy and Kate had agreed they still wanted to see each other. However, they also decided that they needed to keep their relationship on the down-low so it wouldn’t get in the way of their professional careers.

The official “NCIS: Hawai’i” Twitter account posted a sneak peek video to get fans excited to see the pairing on TV again. The video is captioned, “Your favorite duo is back! More #KACY coming your way. #NCISHawaii.”

In the video, Lucy shares that she made reservations for the two of them for dinner. She says, “I know you’re nervous about people at work finding out us, but I will be shocked if anyone we’ve ever met is at this restaurant.”

Kate seems to be getting better about the concept of going out in public, seeing as she states, “I’m willing to give it a try.”

Tori Anderson, who plays Kate Whistler on the show, also celebrated a birthday recently. The show gave her a very special shoutout as well. “Whistler may have a hard exterior, but you can’t miss the rainbow that is @torianderson! Wishing her a very happy birthday, leave a special birthday message below!”

Vanessa Lachey Appreciates ‘NCIS: Hawai’i’

For Vanessa Lachey, playing Jane Tennant is the role of a lifetime. She moved her family, including her husband and kids, to Hawaii in order to film the show.

She is particularly grateful for producer and director Larry Teng. The two knew each other from school in Los Angeles but would get to know each other more when “NCIS: Hawai’i” went into development. He had all the faith that she would be perfect for the role, despite her reservations.

“For some reason, with this role, I was struggling with my confidence. Larry personally Zoomed me and said, ‘Vanessa, I think you’re perfect for this role.’ Just talking to him, made me believe in myself, and I’ll never forget it,” Lachey said, according to Variety.

Both Teng and Lachey speak very highly of each other, seeing as this show is an excellent opportunity.
