‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Star Vanessa Lachey Takes Care of Business in Fun Video

by Shelby Scott

As fans of the latest “NCIS” spin-off series “NCIS: Hawai’i” know, our lead special agent Jane Tennant is a woman of many talents. Alongside her position at “NCIS,” the special agent plays a dynamic role in the new hit show as a woman of color, while her character balances life as a single mom with her adrenaline-pumping lifestyle.

Now, her latest Instagram post shows Lachey’s character Jane Tennant headed from the field to the office in one fell swoop. To be honest, I never really understood the origins of that saying, however, she does swoop around to reveal her quick outfit changeup. Check it out!

From bullet proof vest and side arm to pink button-down and blazer, our favorite “NCIS: Hawai’i” Special Agent has no issue pulling off either look. Over all, the grin and head tilt at the end caps the stunning reveal.

“NCIS: Hawai’i” fans expressed their love for the character and her outfit changeup in the comments, many impressed by the smooth transition in the clip.

“GET IT,” wrote one of Vanessa Lachey’s followers. “I’m obsessed with this show!” wrote another follower. One specifically referenced the clip with, “OH MY GOD??? also that transition was so clean wow.”

“Takin care of business,” indeed, Special Agent Tennant!

‘NCIS: Hawai’i’s’ Vanessa Lachey Goes Behind the ‘Quick Draw’

While there’s no doubt Vanessa Lachey’s Jane Tennant takes the lead in fashion, whether in the field or in the office, the actress recently provided fans a behind the scenes look at her first “on scene shooting.” She stated that while airing on Monday nights, the scenes appear effortless and “badass,” achieving that level of cool is harder than it looks.

Of her experience, Lachey shared, “We shoot blanks obviously.” However, she wrote the hardest part “was that I had to shoot a quick draw and look like a badass,” which contrary to popular belief is surely harder than it looks.

She explained the details behind the scene: essentially, “No blinking, thumbs clear of the kickback.” Seems simple enough, though for someone shooting their first, well, shooting scene, its bound to be a lot more difficult than it looks.

However, despite the challenges Vanessa Lachey faces on the set of “NCIS: Hawai’i,” it continues to do impressively well as a rookie show, remaining number one in its time slot as we head into yet another new week of “NCIS” next Monday.

According to current statistics, “NCIS: Hawai’i” attracts a massive 9.3 million viewers each week. Additionally, the brand new show sees CBS as a network’s performance improved by a jaw-dropping 381% compared to the same time last year. Now, if anything is badass, we now know it’s definitely “NCIS: Hawai’i.”
