by Suzanne Halliburton

New NCIS star Katrina Law has taken her fans along for the Christmas ride all month.

She loves the holiday! But she admitted her cooking skills might not be up to par. Law, who plays Jess Knight on NCIS, shared a photo of herself preparing a specific kind of Christmas dinner. She thought she was a spectacular failure.

“In all my failed vegan Christmas cooking glory. Sorry Dan Feuerriegel, it all taste pretty terrible. But I’m trying!”

NCIS Standout Tags Soap Star Friend

So who is Dan Feuerriegel? Law and Feuerriegel both were stars in the Spartacus series. And both co-hosted a podcast together, While Law has her new gig on NCIS, Feuerriegel is in the cast of the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives. The Aussie actor portrays EJ DiMera.

Feuerriegel responded to his friend’s Insta post with this reply: “It’s the terrible tasting thought that counts.”

NCIS fans are starting to love Law. She joined the cast at the end of season 18 as a recurring character. Producers promoted her to full-time cast, replacing Emily Wickersham (Ellie Bishop), who left the show in May.

When last we saw a new NCIS episode, Law’s character revealed some more about herself. As the agents investigated the death of a financier, Jess offered details about who she is. To refresh your memory, the financier made an interactive hologram in the weeks before she died. She actually had a terminal disease when she was murdered. The financier was estranged from her daughter and grandson, so she paid big money for a high-tech company to interview her for hours so that the hologram could better offer answers about her life after she dies.

Jess loved talking to the hologram. It turns out that she, too, hadn’t spoken to her mother in months. With a little nudging from Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) she called her mom after the case was solved, so NCIS had a happy ending.

Love Law? Check Out Hallmark Channel for Her Festive Movies

Meanwhile, we told you that Law loves Christmas. She’s offered photos of decorations and tasty treats throughout the month. But did you know that this NCIS star also banked several paychecks with some Hallmark Christmas movies? She made three of them, starting in 2013. Her sister-in-law wrote two of the three movies. The most recent was Christmas with the Darlings, which premiered in 2020. It has an airing on the network, Dec. 26th. The movies offer a softer, romantic side to Law.

NCIS last ran a new episode, Nov. 29, so it’s fans need their fix. Here’s some welcome news, the show returns as soon as the holidays are over. “The next new episode — Pledge of Allegiance – is set for Jan. 3. Here’s the plot tease from CBS: “NCIS is called in when Navy Chief Warrant Officer Rafi Nazar (Artur Zai Benson) is suspected of trying to sell stolen classified Navy software used to pilot combat drones.”
